Soleus takes the time to take Munch out and show the little Joltik the flowers that have bloomed in the grassy patch near their house~. -^^-Pfft, I wanted to do a lens flare effect, but I was too impatient to open Photoshop and wait for it to boot, so I tried making one in SAI. :3

Haha! Trust me, it is always better to do the lens flare effect yourself than use the photoshop effect (or use it VERY carefully).

Aww, thank you! >w< I've always found the lens flare in Photoshop cool, tbh. xD; I never really considered that it looked fake... But I guess that's all just based on perspective.

Hehe, If you over do it, then it looks really fake. I have a same thing for those grass and leaf brushes. People use them so much that you just KNOW they've made them by using the brush and it kinda kills the picture.

I guess that's a valid point... I usually just use the pen tool in SAI anyway to make my grass, even if it looks cartoon-ish. Or I use my lineart brush and set it to Fine Flat. How about you? owo What do you do?

I always try to do things by hand but if I need something done by brush, I prefer to make it myself.

Hehehe, I think I was like that mostly because when I first joined my immediate thoughts were, "Okie, whos Julie's guifrend gonna beee?" And Soleus seemed the best option until you told me he was to old. .x.
