I decided to post this short cartoon i made back in 2003....i was at the university at that time..i didn t have a scanner nor a computer...so i started to animate it without pencil testing...it took me one year to finish it...when i got all the stuff to edit it i was so thrilled cause it was the first time i could see one of my animations being alive on a screen..^__^I'm sorry for the quality...i should re-scan all the drawings but i dont really have time and they're more than 1,500
...maybe i will in the future...i've already 'clean' the scenes with Daphne's bird which you can see in my gallery...The story is about the myth of Apollo and Daphne (a lil' changed in kinda romantic way
) and of course i was influenced by the style of Disney's Hercules...i really hope you all like it and leave your comments
(which i love..).I hope to be able to post a better quality version very soon even though im now focused on my new cartoon
...well about this i had the honour to have the help of a very well known person here on DA

Oh! I remember two questions I had to ask.
1. How long time did the ariel, and the apollo animation take?
2. The text in the beginning "the little mermaid " blurs away/appear, is that an effect or do you really have to make that by hand?

the ariel thing took 2 weeks, apollo 1 year....
the text was not animated by me and anyway is done with adobe after effect!

i have done the frames on paper,scan them and color them in photoshop...then put all together in ctp!

i have a question, the blurry, watery effect (adobe after effects as you said) can that be found in adobe premiere also?

no problems XD it was a real treat to watch. i cant wait for the princess and the frog to come out, i have been waiting for a long time for some really good classic animation to peek back into entertainment again.
