As always, your faithfulness to the Disney style astounding. I'm also a really big fan of the hair color choice; auburn is uncommon in this grouping. The pose is also something very original; she looks both thoughtful and seductive at the same time. Finally, major points for making the tail thick. It's so easy to give mermaids the classic, thin taper, but by giving it more volume, it adds more drama. My only nitpick is the waist. The fish and human forms don't come together cleanly. Maybe by turning the line into a cute belt design, which I know you're more than capable of doing, would make the piece more finished.

It kinda reminds me of the fairy from Ferngully in her face and hair (although I think her bra and tail would be red) but I'm guessing that this is an original character. I'm also loving the background and she light/shadow effect. The only question I have is "what are those purple squiggly things in the background?" I thought they were sea weed at first but now I'm thinking tentacles or maybe a completely different type of plant?
