Description I needed to make some sort of presentation for my online class, and we're allowed to use flash.. so there you go.

O.o I wonder if I should be worried about fangirls attacking me? OH WELL!

Anyway, there is some sound.. will be more later. YOU HAVE TO CLICK THINGS, and/or roll over them, in order for things to happen.

UPDATE:
I just read a PDF essay discussing Buffy vs Bella as female protagonists in vampire fiction. Its interesting, and fun, and I thought I'd share it for those who actually read the artist comments: [link]

I'm a anti-twilight person. Though not antifan. I like this. :]

@.@ I didn't, unfortunately. Because its a school project you're allowed to use things like that, or images off google as long as you cite your source. I planned on removing that part before putting the finished version up here, but I guess I forgot or was being lazy.

XD I'll remove it some time this week, when I'm not working on my finals for school.

And thankya. I'm a bit anti-most fans, to be honest, but I restrain myself around the reasonable ones (rare as they are).

Oh... I forgot to mension a BIG critic for Meyer.

There is something called "Reserch" that help you not to commit mistakes about biology or about anything that you are not familiar with.

As a writer she should know that.

She does reserch, I know, but apparently it whasnΒ΄t enough in some issues like pregnancy.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NiranAroon In reply to NivRoem [2008-12-17 00:03:09 +0000 UTC]

Meyer definately didn't bother enough with research. She makes excuses for not knowing about things, despite the fact that most of that "I don't know because I'm not a biologist" crap are things they teach you in 7th and 8th grade, and high school biology.

Meyer must have had a horrible editor, I can't believe no one caught some of the glaring wholes in Meyer's writing before publishing it.

I a "fan" of this saga actually but I really like your presentation.

IΒ΄m not the love-nobels-reader type of girl at all but the fantasy-nobels type.

I like most of anything- of the saga itself- the vampire stuff and the trouble that the caracters have about been a vampire or been related with one.
And the way that Meyer discribe the emotions to, that isnΒ΄t a easy way to find.
IΒ΄m studying Pshychology, so it capt my attencion.

But IΒ΄m totally agree about some of the things that you said... like the fact that Meyer change to much the mistic of vampires, and overcharm them, or the sterotyped things (relationship and love, weak lady always in trouble, Edward himself, etc).

I have to say that this saga is like I Disney story for "ground up" people, becouse love is THE important issue.

IΒ΄m a fan of Harry Potter to, but WAY more.
No time or space to say why, but there are A LOT of reasons.

Anyway, I like the presentation and the "hiden" stuff to, very entertaining to find.

Really god work!

NiranAroon In reply to NivRoem [2008-12-16 23:59:32 +0000 UTC]

I like fantasy novels over romance novels as well. It's always best if there IS romance, but it's not the single most important thing in the story.

I can't really agree about Meyer's portrayal of emotions. Bella was painfully one dimensional, and all of her emotions came off as extremely shallow to me.

=3 I'm glad you can be a fan of the book, and still recognize its not perfect. I'm totally okay with fans of the novel when they can realize not everything about it is perfect. (Hey, I even nit pick my favorite books. ^^)

I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, but JK Rowling deserves a lot of credit. She revolutionized the Young Adult books.

I'm glad you liked. Thank you very much! =3

This. Is. THE. MOST. TRUE. THING. OUT. THERE.

Vampires cannot REPRODUCE. ---> They did.
Vampires have FANGS. ---> They do not.
Vampires are originally KILLERS ---> NOT.
Drinking blood is also suppose to be a sensual thing. ---> Yet again, NO.
NO SPARKLES ---> THEY SPARKLE.

I have watched the fellows in my school fan girl over this stupid thing they call a "book". Like, what the hell? It's real life and stereo-typical teenage angst put into the crappiest book out there. I read the first three books and was like: WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CRAP.
My sister read the first book only because she was bored to hell over one summer.
I only read them because I was forced to.
That book is worse than Chinese Water Torture.
It deserves to be burnt.
EVERY SINGLE COPY.
And the 24/7 rabid fangirls should go with them.
Fangirls, as long as they keep to themselves are good. Just...keep to yourselves...please. c:

All in all this gets an AWESOME BEYOND ALL FRIGGING THINGS ON EARTH rating. c:
Instant favourite and may you live long and SPREAD THE WORD. <33

NiranAroon In reply to endethelle [2008-12-17 00:08:04 +0000 UTC]

Well that's quite the comment!

I'm not sure how anyone could force you to read it (unless Twizombies were threatening to eat your brain, or something. X3 , but I can imagine that was one hell of a painful read. Did you eyes bleed? I still can't make it through the first book.

My friend threatened to burn the book after the first ten pages... I had to convince him I still wanted to read it, in all it's horror.

I don't really mind fangirls not keeping their affection for the book to themselves, they just need to stop scaring people. Poor Rpatz, who played Edward in the movie, honestly thinks his fans might hurt him. He's adorably terrified.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

endethelle In reply to NiranAroon [2008-12-17 00:31:06 +0000 UTC]

Actually, my eyes did bleed while I was reading it.
Around mid-third book I believe.

Twilight is a scary book.
Not in the terms of Vampires and werewolves.
In terms of actual content.

Yeah...they just tend to enjoy fangirling around ME.
Elsewhere is fine, ANYWHERE is fine, just, not around me.
My friends are afraid to say Twilight around me incase I eat them. c:
It's a nice way to keep things quiet in my little area at school. <3

I bet he is.
He'll be fan girled to death.
That'll be the end of him.
Then all the Cedric Diggory fans [who hate Twilight] will kill the Twilight lovers.

And then we'll loose half the population of the world.
Oh what a shame. :c

A good way to solve the over population problem.

Perhaps Twilight was just a clever plan conceived to brain wash preteen girls that if their man doesn't sparkle, he aint gettin' any.

Man, I had no idea that Stephanie based Bella off of herself. Its like she's a full grown, adult, vampire fangirl! Freaky! I had a feeling she was a bit of a fangirl, but holy crap Bella's description is just like her facial description.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NiranAroon In reply to RevivalPhoenix [2008-12-10 01:12:58 +0000 UTC]

She might not have done it on purpose. Probably doesn't even realize that it's bad writing to do a self insert... It really depresses me that she has a degree in literature, but writes like a bad fanfiction author. @.@

Bella was also supposed to be the name of Meyer's daughter.

That, or proves that only crap can be succesful these days. I'm half expecting Meyer to announce it was all a joke, and that her fangirls all fail.

Yeah and that she only wrote the books for money. Which is a possibility but it was a dream where she was with a sparkling vampire. So maybe she self-insert herself into the book because she wanted to be Bella. I dunno....

I do. But I don't have a problem with people liking it in most cases. (generally depends on how they present themselves)

Rabid fans = MUST DIE

Fans = To each their own

But thank you for commenting. =3

OH! Yes, actually I have a question. Someone told me the vampire's don't have fangs. If you've read the whole series you'll know- Do they have fangs? Or have retractable fangs? What's the deal with that. o.o

Hmm... I'm perhaps a partial rabid fan? But that's okay, right? xD
Rabid fans of anything are a little strange.

No problem. I about the whole Bella - Edward period thing even before I read your flash. O_o Lmao.

Nope, no fangs at all. Just really sharp teeth. Fangs are cool, though. >_< I'm strange.

Oh, and I have a question for you. How do you know so much about the books when you despise them so much? =o

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NiranAroon In reply to Happicow [2008-12-02 19:24:27 +0000 UTC]

It depends on how you use your rabid-ness. If you're not harrassing people, or ruining non-Twilight vampire boards with Twilight stuff, than I don't have much of a problem. If you're capable of understanding you can like a book, and that doesn't mean it's the best shit EVA than I have no problem whatsoever. ^^

Dude... I thought they AT LEAST had fangs. I wish I'd known that a long time ago, I'd have been much angrier. They're not vampires at all... I don't understand why Meyer thinks they are. I think its abit like taking a gorgon and saying she's a basilisk. Just because they both turn stuff to stone, doesn't mean they're the same thing. @.@

XD I've always really enjoyed analyzing things. It started out with just a "WTH is this, and why is it popping up in my vampire RPs?" with my friends, and me.. so we looked it up... and then there were always people talking about how awesome it is, and those people won't listen even if you have a legitimate point, unless you know EVERYthing. Everyones always saying stupid things like "If you didn't read the book, you don't have a right to comment." "If you didn't read the whole series, you don't have a right to comments." And perhaps my favorite, "Until you have written a series as popular, you don't have a right to comment."

Basically, its just something that got under my skin. My friend and I talked to a lot of fans. I read most of the first book. We read Meyer's web site. We actually know more about what's going on than a good deal of fans. We pay attention when the topic of Twilight comes up... XD

o.o Long comment. Heh
