EDIT 6/8/09: Editted a few things, fixed parts of the background etc.My entry for =Metroid-Tamer 's contest. I decided to create a suit from scratch for Salina, her Metroid OC. Salina, Samus' sibling, is a freelancer and was raised by the Luminoth. As you can see, the suit is designed different from Samus'. Salina is in Dark Torvus Bog.
I based the design of this suit very very heavily off the actual Luminoth. If you look here, you can compare and see what I mean: [link]

Oh! I thought it was in the description (my mistake). Originally I made the suit for a friend's Metroid OC that wanted to be different from Samus, so the idea was that the right arm had a retractable saber, much like the Space Pirates' weapons, and the left (and possibly right as well) hand/palm has the ability to form orbs of various energies (dark in this case) and shoot them (vs. Samus having a gun and beams).
Also, the "ears" on the helmet would be able to detect hyper sonic sounds. Sort of going off the Luminoth/moth influence there.

I think the Dark Suit was supposed to be the equivilant, but I didn't like the colors very much.

I don't much like the Dark Suit, either. Brown and silver don't really go together, and it had weird epaulettes.
