I honestly belive that pregnant women are so pretty. And when the idea of having my RPing/Comic character Abby have a baby..well...I couldn't resist drawing it.She's so sad...it's so pretty. Poor Abby.

Wow. You can see her despare and her love for her child to be. You get the sense that she knows the responsibility she has and that she will be dedicated to caring for the child.

This is gorgeous...talk about beautifying the pregnant woman's body...
I've never quite thought of it as beautiful, but when I really think about it...it is. Not that I want children or anything, but I think it's more about the idea of actually bringing another life in the world and accepting your new body while youre doing that than the actual figure...that attitude and idea is what is beautiful. Does that make sense?
Still...awesome piece. She does seem sad...but at the same time, it seems to me that she's still proud. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for, but her pose is still so firm, and it seems like she's not afraid of what's coming. That's just me though...

I totally agree. The fact that you can hold someone elses life inside you is just intense, and even though your pudgy belly will go away eventually, you still are forever changed.
Then when the kids are 2, you wish you had given them up for adoption
Abby is definately a strong person. She's survived gunshots, buildings falling on her, killed her sister by accident, lived with the death (and rebirth) of the man she loved, and has been living with a virus she knows will take her life eventually (In our X-Men timeline, the Legacy Virus hasn't been cured yet)...and yet she's still going as best as she can. Abby had always been the most strong-willed of my characters...or Stubborn. Either way, nothing's going to put her down. She'll live through it ^_^

lol, i know exactly what you mean. i did the same to my favorite of my characters, and my friends were all, Ew, pregnancy? Ew! Children!
i dunno. i love the form of pregnant women. that's the part that's fascinating.

I was debating it for a while...for a really long time....then I figured, oh, what the hell...might as well. ^_^
I agree. The form is just so nice. I've seen beautiful photographs of pregnant women(which I saw in my mother's office when she worked with Gynocology and Parenting)...it's seeing the human form, seeing figures, in just another phase of life. To me, the fact that that woman has a little bitty mini-human in her just...amazes me to no end. It's beautiful to me.

Not sure I think pregnant women are pretty tho... more like... scary!!! TERRIFING!!! Thinking of a little creature growing in there, spying on me, listening to everyword I say! And the super swinging hormones *shivers in fear*

My sister once said she felt like she was in Alien when she was pregnant with my niece. She said it felt like something was going to bust out of her stomach. heh.
I suppose it depends on who you are. Everyone has their own ideas about things like this. My friend JR was ecstatic when he found out his wife was pregnant. It was cute

I love the way you've done her purple sarong thing...the texture looks great and I really like her hair. Kinda like mine at the moment only alot shorter

the sarong's coloring was actually...er...an accident...but 
She has reason to be: as the story goes, her fiancΓ© died on a mission, and soon after she finds this out, so she gets all depressed...then she finds out he was reborn, has a nice fight with him for leaving her behind, then goes off on her own. He still doesn't know about the baby, so they're still fighting....and she ran off to France, while he went back to New York...it's alot more complicated...but I'm lazy
