Class assignment, use texture to create image of an animal blah blah. So basically, I drew this barn owl, using a photo for reference, then had to cut out every separate texture with a scissors/exacto knife. All the textures in this picture were created from scratch by me, EXCEPT for the background, which is slightly edited stock from DA.The stock used for the background created by: [link]
I AM A NERD. Why does it always come back to Labyrinth?
I mean, it's not exactly fan art, but I would probably never have chosen an owl if it weren't for...

I know I favorited this earlier, but inspiration struck me today, and I got me wondering...would you mind if I tried to reproduce this pretty to some sort of pattern for a shirt? Compiling some different textures and sewing them together. If I would credit you with all due respect and everything?

no problem, you keep doing the good art! I don't think I could live without Labyrinth in my life, it cheers me up when I need it to and it is always a classic! (I have it on video, so it adds to the authentic-ness rofl)
Dream indeed looks very much like Jareth, well, except the nose. I think Dream has a waaaay bigger nose than Jareth ever will hehe. But their mannerisms and hair, face shape and pride all seem to match. Dream seems to learn from mistakes more than Jareth- prehaps Jareth is the younger one?

Yeah, I would assume Jareth is a lot younger, what with Dream being one of the Endless and all. But not all the artist's draw Dream with a super big nose, Jill Thompson ([link] ) for example draws it pretty normal sized, along with several other artists who worked on Sandman.

Hmm. Apparently I am not the die-hard fan I thought I was. I mean, the first thing I thought of was that new movie coming out soon. Guardians of Ga'houl. Mmyeah. Weird.
Setting that aside, this looks amazing. I am guessing it was a bitch to make (anything that involves an exacto knife is) so that sucks but I think (in my totally irrelevant opinion, you know) it was totally worth it.

I just don't know. I mean, it's one thing if it's for the good of the story, and I suppose Rorschach did kinda have to die, so I can understand that. But some authors/creators do seem to endlessly torture likable characters for no reason. Like Joss Whedon. Q Q
