Illo for Pathfinder 11
"Here a gug rampages through a forest of creepy giant mushrooms in a huge underground cavern. Itβs run into a group of dwarf warriors, which it its totally savaging. It has grabbed one, thrown another into the air, stomped another flat, and send at least two others running for their dear lives. "

Which Lovecraft story had the gug? I've read most of his work and I think the gug were mentioned once, but I can't find the specific story.

It's funny that I should just happen to be reading 'The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath' and so find this in my deviation-watch list.
Very nicely done. Reminds me of an idea I've had for an ogre and dwarves fighting. The colours and texture are superb, as are the details. Keep up the good work.

I think the dwarfs will not run, their nature is to stay until the last warrior is alive, I'm sure the dwarfs never let behind one of their onus. Grate monster, really awesome

The dark, grim lighting creates such a powerful mood in the piece. I love how the beast appears from shadow and fractures the composition. Is this the Gug from Lovecraft?
