After watching the Sonic CD intro and Ending (Aaaaagain) I just couldn't resist to draw again the Sonic from that footage!
I don't know why I love his design there, perhaps because it's the perfect balance between Cute and Badass! or his DBZ style like spikes... I just plain love it!
So here's Sonic with a particular stone can you guess what stone it is?
Hint: it's not a rupee

It does look like a Chaos Emerald from Sonic 1 BUT it's actually a Time Stone... the more you know!
And yes this one it's a kickass, badass and sexy design of Sonic indeed, best classic design if you ask me!
