I'm gonna bet that almost every girl who saw that ending was laik “OMG THEY SHOULD TOTALLY HUG AND FORGIVE EACH OTHER AND THEN BE BEST FRIENDS FOREVER
”, I know I was ...but then they ended up exploding :/ so yeah 
I'm not sure how Clu ended up being shorter than Flynn but whatever, you can be short now Clu

HAHAHAH! When I read this, a song was playing in my head. Forgot the name, it was on the piano, and I think it was in a movie during a beach scene.
I thought they explained it in the movie. The only way to destroy Clu in-grid is if Kevin absorbs him. However, it's been so long since Clu was made, neither of them would survive the merging.

I theorize that since Tron had his helmet on, he was safe and sound at the bottom of the sea of simulation.
And the sea seemed very undisturbed after that explosion subsided.
Besides, who kills off the title character in the second movie of what appears to be a trilogy.

LOL this is pretty funny xD; i never felt that way, Clu's evil expression never seemed to change for me when Flynn was saying his little speech haha. It does make me sad about the ending tho since Flynn is my favorite character, maybe cause im just too attached to the original Tron.
