Seriously Celestia's hair is like the worst thing. But it's so prettyyyy. I also cleverly covered up Twilight's cutie mark so I didn't have to draw the darned thing anymore.

Very well done, the art style isn't my favorite, but I like what you did with it. Though that may be a potential hypocrisy alert seeing how I sketch things. Great minimalist story, just a teacher/mother and her student/daughter. It doesn't matter that Celestia is a Godhead and Sovereign of the land, everyone just needs some love sometimes. I thank you for making my day before it has really even started.

I'm not sure why, but I like the faces a lot more in this one that in part 1. I would go so far to say that I dislike the faces in part 1 (though part of that is stylistic preferences).
I definitely like the image you have created here (and not just the visual one) and think you've managed to capture some nice emotions here.
If you took one of those textless panels and released it by itself in a higher resolution, you would probably have a pretty nice wallpaper.
