i always thought this bruce was sort of tragic. i mean, bruce already is tragic, but even more so in his old age all alone and dishevelled in his old age. great piece btw

this is perfect. just perfect. i think that if they were to make a batman beyond movie, clint eastwood could do justice to the bruce wayne character.

Wow, great work! I really admire and envy people who have the patience and skills to work with sculptures, and you are definitely among the best. Surely this is what the dark knight will become after many decades of crime fighting!
Great job.

I commented on the single shot before realising that there's more... I'm even more speechless, if that's possible.

ok, now I'm even more impressed. How long did this take you? (and sorry if you've answered that one ten times already)

I did both of these busts at the same time and it took about a month from start to finish to do all of the sculpting molding and casting for both together. I sculpted Bruce's finished head in about a week though.

That is AMAZING!! The detail in the face and hair is exceptional, and I love the crotchety expression you gave him. So very much old Bruce, especially when Terry first met him. Just how long did it take you to make this?

Thank you! It took about 2 weeks to sculp the head and the base and then another week or so to do the molding and casting.

You did an excellent job here. So much so that I knew who it was without even reading first the title or description before viewing the image. So I tip my hat to ya. Well done.

All those wrinkles must have been a pain, but it's true that the more the subject is imperfect the more the artist rendering it shines.

Here are a couple of hair tutorials that I found really helpful. The second one is better than the first but you'll have to register at the clubhouse forums first to be able to follow the link.

He looks like a grumpy old fart. The details are amazing. If colored correctly this could be one hell of a sweet collectible. Or you could just make a layer paint so it looked like stone or metal and it could work. This is a priceless sculpt.

The sculpture is really nice, but the photos are also extremely well done. Did you take these yourself or have them professionally taken? Do you have any tips on taking photographs of sculpture?

I actually just put up a little crappy demo in my scraps of how I set up my photo shoots. Prepare to be completely underwhelmed by how straight ghetto my process is. But I hope it helps some!
