I’m back! Finally got some time to do some art!
The basilisk is an interesting cryptid with several different versions. This is the six legged lizard version.
The giant basilisk is a massive swamp dwelling monitor lizard. It is primarily carnivorous but will supplement its diet with eggs and fruits given the chance. The swamps which the basilisk inhabits are home to an invasive flatworm parasite which causes deformities in young amphibians and basilisks. These deformities usually appear in the form of excessive limb growth. Frogs usually don’t survive long with such deformities but basilisks which take good care of their young often manage to live a normal life with their additional appendages.

Basilisks are over five meters long. This makes them almost too big for the traditional monitor wrestling so in order to determine who gets the female they spar with their long horns.
