I've been sitting on these amazing pictures Torqual3D did of Amy Brown, aka Amy-the-Lawyer, for a while and felt I had to post them. Third of a four part series. Previous part here: Next part here:

So...out of curiosity, what inspired you to have two cute, glasses-wearing, brunette ponytail-having characters named Amy with such vastly different personalities?

That's an interesting question with a stupid answer. The Haunted House was the first thing I ever wrote with the intention of showing it to others. But I stopped half-way through the first chapter and did things that weren't writing. Months later, I was inspired to write another story, Amy's Courtroom Debut. I like the name Amy, so I reused it from the Haunted House. But back then I didn't have a DA page, I just posted the Amy-the-Lawyer stories on a Yahoo group.
Then I got to talking with someone else and decided to finish Chapter 1 of the Haunted House. And it seemed like a lot of work to rename Amy, and I was posting them somewhere different than where the Amy-the-Lawyer stories were going, so I figured it wouldn't make a difference. And then later I consolidated all my stories in one place, and whoops! Two identical-looking characters named Amy.
And to make things more confusing, both characters are based loosely on me (or aspects of me, I suppose). I have brown hair, usually in a ponytail, glasses, and am named Amy. Haunted House Amy is a more direct translation of my personality, I think, while Amy-the-Lawyer is a caricature of what I consider to be some of my personality flaws.
