I still hadn't played the game, but I recall seeing white feathers flutter in the wind like this...
...from Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars, which the feathers were used to transform the character into a womanly sailor soldier. You could say perhaps these feathers could had made Ezio become a man. He's seems like he's standing there in this art piece as he watches these feathers give him a sense of hope in his life.
Though the novel did depict Ezio going on a mini feather quest (at the beginning of the game, I assume). After he had to flee with his remaining family members, his mother still wouldn't allow him to touch Petruccio's feather box. She even attacked Ezio.
Oh well, it is a nice picture and I do like the background as well, showing the light and darkness of the character.

I'm nonetheless flattered that you enjoyed looking at this picture.
Feathers tend to be used as metaphors and such the like in many different stories.
Sadly I cannot understand your Sailor Moon reference as I haven't watched the series. But still, thank you for your lovely words~!

It's an anime clip of Usagi/Serena transforming into Sailor Moon. They normally have her use white feathers, but her final transformation has the usage of white feathers.

And then in the anime, Moon performs a "leap of faith" to not fall into the despair of the Queen. See up to 6:00 on this clip.

It also doesn't help this connection that Sailor Moon is going to be reaired again in the fall, starting in Italy.

Ah, I just watched those clips you gave to me. It seems like an interesting series.
Although, I'm sure the connections you made with that anime and the video game are surely coincidental. Surely AC was bound to take certain references from different sources, but these two specific story lines don't appear to directly correlate with each other. C:
If anything, it was probably more a tribute to have Ezio collect feathers because him and Altair were both modeled in the eye of a specific bird.
Altair was always said to resemble the eagle, and Ezio, I believe, the cuckoo.
At least, I think that's the bird he's modeled after, or it was a songbird of somesort...anyways.
Even all of this could be directed back to Greek mythology, where all the gods were given a specific bird and were only identified through that or their symbol.
The same goes for Sailor Moon as well, with the feathers included?
The leap of faith has always been a well known term, and I'm sure no specific story really has the means to copyright it. Jumping off any steep drop could be called a leap of faith, but it could just as easily be called stupid. Oye, I dunno what I'm saying.
....or rather, don't mind me. I'm rambling, haha.

Actually, Ezio was modeled after the eagle as well, like Altair. In fact, the name "Ezio" means eagle in Italian!

And this is a lovely picture! As for the feathers, I always took them to symbolize the Leap of Faith, Ezio's family and comparatively innocent past life (white feathers, of course), along with his dedication to the Creed since feathers were part of ACI as well. ^^

I guess. Lots of symbols in that anime, which turn out to be a source of the girls' power.
Course, Ezio may be a different bird, due to his actions, though he is an Eagle. A "Golden" Eagle. Cause UbiSoft needs to explain themselves of why they used the national bird of Mexico and have it flying around in the game and the opening of the live movie they've made if it doesn't reflects the game itself.
It doesn't makes sense to me why they will have a Golden Eagle flying all over the place since you rarely see it in Italy at all.
