Description This is the Firebrand Arms Forty-Niner Rifle, heavily based on the FN 49, hence the name. It is chambered in .308, .30-06 or 8mm Mauser. It feeds from 8-round en-bloc clips (identical and interchangeable with the Garand's clips) fed in from the bottom of the rifle (unlike the Garand). Like the Garand, the rifle does not need to be cocked after loading, and, like the Garand, the rifle automatically ejects the spent clip after the last shot is fired (from the bottom of th rifle). Unlike the Garand, the Forty-Niner rifle has a gas regulator, allowing it to fire multiple loadings of ammunition. It also is much easier to reload the Forty-Niner before the ammunition is expended: one merely pulls back the bolt, which makes the clip pop up to be replaced. The clip can also be reloaded with spare rounds in this manner and then shoved back into place.
