Description
My Grasslands Guardian costume. The gold silk is tea dyed in places, cut into over 30 bias strips, sewn, turned, pressed and then woven over a corset understructure (which I pattern drafted) and hand sewn in place. I'll leave it up to you to guess how someone would get in and out of it
The pants are hakama style hand dyed silk.
I am so sick of looking at this costume. I spent over 50 hours on this thing, some sleepless nights, and even some blood. But hey, at least it looks cool.
Thanks to Josh Hines for the lovely photos.

This is a really beautiful design! I love the woven section across the bodice, and at first I thought it was suede not silk. Great effects with the tea dying!
