Description Here's the Youtube version for those who can't watch Flash videos on their devices: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoY5u_…

Greetings everyone, I recently completed another animation, this time with all guest voice actors. The basic premise being that Griggs is put in command of a new garrison and is trying to familiarize himself with the personnel, only to discover that they are frustratingly similar in nearly every way.

This animation was important because this is the first time I've had to coordinate characters that I couldn't always communicate with in real time, I think given the challenges that the finished product turned out pretty well.

As always we have the main artist ( ) to thank for all the character visuals, without her constant input the animation could not move forward.

The music was done by the very talented and creative , and I look forward to eventually being able to show off his more impressive music tracks (I just can't yet, as the action animations aren't there yet).

As for voice actors, one of them is my friend online "Belial", though unfortunately he doesn't really have a deviant art page that I'm aware of.

A great initial performance was given by who did a fantastic job as the guard captain, and sounded great for the part. He sounds a bit quiet here though as I had to edit out some of the noise in his takes.

And finally the virtuoso did an excellent job playing the guards, he's actually capable of much more humorous lines, and given the opportunity I'd love to display more of his talents.

Anyway, let me all know what you think of this, what you like, what you don't like, and what can be improved.

Thanks everyone, I hope you all Enjoy!

My favorite nickname was for a soldier who ended up looking a lot like President Lincoln, so I nicknamed em "Honest Abe". For most of Xcom2 he was my only sniper, I had a lot of fun with the custom description and bio.

Glad you liked the joke though, thanks for the comment!

Yeah, I've played the Firaxus "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" and the newer "XCOM2". Though I'm not super great at them, I usually have to reload once in a while, ha ha.

I think some of the chain abilities in XCOM 2 were really interesting, though I often found that I only used them when I was sure it was safe to, or when I was about to lose the whole squad if I didn't take a big gamble.

Yeah, every game has a character that ends up being the most important, I try and give the MVP's their own nick names and backstories, though I can't always think of more than 3-4 of them. Definitely the customization adds a lot of XCOM2, I could see myself playing that campaign again.

Anyway, thanks for the comment.

Hmm, interesting.

Yep. Talk to you later.

Poor Griggs But he should have known, that numbers are here for a reason.Β

Also, it reminded me of my school years, when we had 2 or more people with similar names. It was confusing sometimes.

Nice animation with a good humour as usual! Keep it up!

Griggs kinda has a habit of assuming the worst sometimes and it occasionally gets him into embarrassing situations such as this one.

I was once in a class where four other people had the same first name as me, that made role call confusing, and resulted in some general confusion when someone would call one of us and would then have to dismiss all the others of the same name.

Thanks, I'll probably be diversifying my animations a bit after the next one, by doing some "lets plays" mixed with my animated characters, so there might be less postings onto DA until I can kinda "catch up" my action stuff; though I'll try and post the occasional humorous short so that my DA followers aren't completely in the dark.

*** That said, my Youtube will probably be the better place to find my animations in the near future ***

Thanks for the comment Illusir! I appreciate the support and feedback!

"Assuming the worst" – reminds me of myself Β

Fortunately, my name wasn't that popular back then, and we had only 2 persons with my name, including me. But we had other kids with more popular names, and I can recall situations same to yours.Β

Thank you for the information, I'll try to check your Youtube channel from time to time! But, unfortunately, I won't be able to comment there.

You're very welcome! Your animations always make me smile, thank you for sharing them!

I didn't know that about you, from your comments and descriptions I always assumed your were an optimist. Well perhaps you'll find Griggs to be a relate able character then.

Well the "popular" names tend to change every few years, so it doesn't really happen much anymore unless I'm in a group of people that are a similar age to me. Definitely though it makes for interesting situations when the names start getting mixed up. (My roommate as the same first name as me for instance, so he usually goes by his middle name when we hang out).

That's perfectly fine, every little bit helps; and I don't mind where you leave the feedback, I appreciate it wherever I can find it.

Of course, no problem; like I said I might change tactics in the near future for a bit, but it's really only until I can kinda build up my action assets; eventually I plan on making a very in-depth animation to tie all these different groups and characters together. The more in-depth animation is my dream, though it will be a while before I can make it real.

Thanks as always Illusir!

I'm a realistic pessimist. And only sometimes I'm optimistic for a short period of time.

We usually just call a person and then point at him/her, if two persons share a name

I wish you all the best in achieving your goals and dreams! I do believe in you!

Ah ok, I think I'm similar in that regard; though I'm usually only optimistic when I have a concrete reason to be.

True, that does happen too; though a lot of people here like to try and memorize names because they figure they'll know the person better that way. So I suppose it really just depends on the setting and level of involvement.

Thank you Illusir! I greatly appreciate that. I hope you continue to do well in your arts in return, I wish all fans were as supportive as yourself, and I'll do my best to be supportive in return.

Talk to you later!

First comment, I am glad that people didn't confused my face because IΒ am unique.Β  However when I was in high school I served a lot of detention because a troublemaker had the same first name as I do and his last name had the same first two letters as mine.Β  I didn't question it because I assumed the seconds that I was late to class added up.Β

Indeed. I'm sorry to hear that, though thankfully once high school ends the problems associated with it become afterthoughts in the grand scheme of things.

I actually had the same first name as 4 other people in one class of mine in high school, so ic an definitely relate to that on some level.

Thanks for the comment!

FortunatelyΒ my punishment was pretty light (serving time in the library) and my mom fixed the problem quickly.

That's good at least, funny how these things go sometimes. At least the problem was resolved before it did any real damage.

Interesting story though, thanks again for the comment.
