Very cool looking! A couple of things though: One, the feet would probably be too small for any sort of cross-country mobility (too much weight on too small of an area), and two, the pilot is way to exposed. I doubt any military would create an expensive war machine like this to have the pilot just sitting out in the open like that. Other than that, I like this design

this is utterly awsome here as an army esosuit! but how would he controll the arms?

thanks!
Its quite "simple", the gun (rifle) can works systematically together or even independent (AI) to operate the cannon, works like a joystick, you know

it might have the name Atlas mate that doesn't mean it has any relation to this battlesuit or the BattleMech from battletech and besides it would have to be 30 feet tall weigh 100 tons and have enough fire power to put a gapping hole in the moon as well as the iconic skull
but back to the point amazing work Nomad

NOMANSNODEAD In reply to FRANKO1873 [2013-02-10 17:14:16 +0000 UTC]
ATLASS is an abbreviation, that's all.
thanks mate! no problem

Supercool design, this would be a quite cool solution for the armored suits from Starship Troopers(the novel).
But think FASA could be a little pissed about the name you gave it.

FASAΒ΄s the company that publishes Battletech (where the designation "Mech" originally comes from) and Mechwarrior and all the stuff that belongs to that universe and in that game Battletech thereΒ΄s a mech thatΒ΄s named the Atlas, which is like their flagship.

The Atlas is their flagship?
My Timberwolf would like a word with you.

Hehehe...but I havenΒ΄t seen your Timberwolf in MWO so far..
But IΒ΄m quite sure the old King will be the new one as well as soon as the clan wars begin.

... that game is dead for me.

Atlessa In reply to TheSangson [2013-05-30 14:20:20 +0000 UTC]
a) Because the team only cares about the money they make, and not at all about the community
b) Because despite many complaints from the community, they just don't add any new maps. (2 maps in half a year, versus the 10 or 12 (MUCH larger) maps that the MWLL team threw out on the same engine)
c) Because they went 'open beta' when everyone in the community told them it's too soon.
d) Because even with a year more development time, I don't see the game going anywhere.
f) Because they got the MWLL-team to cease development.

Say,whatΒ΄s MWLL?
Btw.I see your point, but I still somehow trust the franchise and have some hope for it.And of course,IΒ΄ve already paid too much money for that game to just give it up

www.mechlivinglegends.net
It's a discontinued (guess who is to blame for that?) total conversion, based off of crysis wars.
It's the game (technically; mod) that brought Mechs back into the world, after the failure that was MechAssault <.<
An the "franchise"?
It effectively died the moment Microsoft laid it's filthy hands on it. Just like Shadowrun <.<

Cool, but there's a problem: what's saving the pilot from getting his ass shot up?

Cool concept!!! XD
The only question i do have -which probably won't be answered- is, can those legs really carry the weight? ^^

NOMANSNODEAD In reply to Valientus [2013-01-24 14:04:36 +0000 UTC]
there has been an experiments,.. but unfortunately nobody wants to become the pilot, because no one would be responsible when malfunction comes to injury or even death

I want to believe you, but I'm getting the impression this is a joke, right?! So believable...i tend to believe everything.
And I would wanted to try it, injury or not

Really awesome concept. And not too over-the top to take out that reality-factor that that could happen. Overall---boss.

You've got to love combat-exoskeletons. Especially if they're done right and you sir made a scary-ass war-machine.
