my own take on some star trek uniforms C=the USS Volania is the science vessel my trek OCs are on C;
this will be updated when I got designs for things like hazard- and environmental suits, or special away team uniforms , as well uniform for higher ranks.
I gave the regular uniforms diffrent deparment colors so you can have an idea of what they would look like in each color , all the regular uniforms are evailable in each department.
I left the badges blank and the rank that can be seen there is lieutenant commander.

As a veteran Trekkie and someone who's done uniform designs himself, I don't like to compliment many fan designs because I think a lot of them - including many of my own tries - are too fancy or break too many of the "rules" that Gene Roddenberry set up when he created "Star Trek."
But not yours. I like these a lot. They have a little "call back" to the Original Series from 1966 with their colored shirts and miniskirts, but at the same time they are totally modern. They're not too fancy, so they look professional but still also look like duty uniforms, the kind of thing you can roll up your sleeves and work in.
This would have worked out really well in something like "Star Trek Online." In fact, I would much rather have seen this as the 25th century uniform than some of the stuff they did in STO, which I actually think aren't in line with what a good "Star Trek" uniform should be!

They're really cool. when does your ships travels take place in the timeline?
I need to post my uniforms, but I can't draw. I'll find some way to work around that.
I love how the girl scientists get to wear pants, but the engineers and security officers don't 
And the engineering jumpsuit is bamf.

actualy I'm not exactly sure when exactly the ship travels , but it's 15-20 years after the events going on in the contest at . The design is unique to the ship they are on C= I guess XD it's more like a science/scouting vessel , smaller then the Enterprise and the crew has just about 180-200 members.
I was afraid someone might missunderstand that xD; all three regular uniforms are available in every color , females get to choose in every department if they want to wear pants or dresses.

The detail and concept for this is fabulous! I like the idea of each department having their own outfit to help distinguish between them. Would you mind if I drew these a couple of times? I would credit you each time. Man, I just love this designs!

Wow, I quite like these designs! Honestly, out of all the ones I've seen-- fan created as well as the ones in the actual tv shows and movies-- these are my FAVORITE. I may also end up drawing some trek character with these costumes, if you don't mind :3

hehe, Engineering jumpsuit reminds me of Naruto.

Man because i watch alot more of Voyager than anything of the others, i keep forgetting the changed all the colours around after TNG lol, like red is now command, yellow is engineering/security and blue is medical/science lol
I do like thoses uniforms, they are a lot better than the jumpsuits they wore in all the modern series :/
So you got your own ship and everything, very awsome, i remember when i was younger, i drew starships all the time XD
dont forget the super fancy variations of the uniforms for meeting important people and getting premotions X3

yes , when I started at in the contest I was suddenly very confused XD;
I only knew the Voyager colors too and I thought they were the same in TOS ( lol I was
like "so Captain Kirk is in the Engineering field? how amusing" untill I relized I was wrong xD
the colors still confuse me @_@ but I went with the TOS colors for these in the end.
of course the fancy dresses ;D I need to do these too.
I haven't drawn the USS Volania yet , I suck at drawing that kind of stuff XD; characters are
what I can do best hahaha

Well if you go here [link] there are tonnes of starship designs that could help. Just gotta think what bits you want, and stick things on untill you get a look you like XD

Ships are hard, unless that's what you draw-- like ships and houses and stuff. x) I still haven't drawn the ship for my characters yet...
I figure, all the ships in a class look pretty much the same, someone can look up a picture if they want to know. xD; /lazy

I would either put them in the OC folder, or... no, try the OC folder. That's probably your best bet.

well , after drawing that selfportait I kept drawing star trek characters, so I thought I should try making up an own uniform , the design was then fixed pretty quickly, I wanted a mix of TOS and Voyager , but it should ahve it's own feel. it's also abit inspired from the uniforms my characters in Star Trek Online are wearing XD

all my trek OCs so far are based on people I know XD
the Captain is based on a friend of mine and she is indeed reather short ( just about 5 feet tall xD
she's no trek fan thought xD) and hot tempered. T'Vean design is based on that self portait I did , she is nothing like me personality wise thought and I do not see her as myself or as an avatar at all.
T'Vean's friend Levrance is based on another friend with whom I frequently draw together , and I'm slowly
making him into a trekker >D muahahaha I think he would have been intersted into the contest , but his
self esteem is low , he thinks he wouldn't stand a chance );
there isnt enough time left for him to do something anyway
