Description
For a game a friend and I are running, called "Ascended Masters" informally, in a world where a pokemon called Manaphy was consumed by grief trying to save its offspring Phione from corrupt scientists and switched pokemon and human hearts into the others' bodies. Manaphy later was killed as an act of kindness, but it permanently messed up the natural order, and as a result humans and pokemon alike disappeared, resulting in two distinct races: pokemorphs and gajinka (more humanoid than pokemon, all with abilities).

So instead of a pokemon Elite Four and becoming the best 'trainer', pokemorph and gajinka battle in teams to become Ascended Masters- IF they can beat the current Ascended Masters, whom no one's ever seen before.

Meet Jhango, a girl who starts out as a Shinx when she's trained by Miaaga when she joins up with Kazu's team. During a visit to Lavender Tower, she became a Luxio-girl (at right) from leveling up fighting ghost pokemorphs to get to the top, where they discovered Nocturias and uncovered a secret three-way genocidal war about to blow up.

She's friendly like Hayabashi, and Miaaga is secretly proud of Jhango and Hayabashi's prowess in combat as they get better at battling. Jhango's less combat-minded than Hayabashi (to whom strength and firepower is everything)- she's a more mystical, lightning-inclined girl with better speed.

Originally I did five drawings of Jhango and her forms on the page that Miaaga's was drawn on, but they were just so sucky- the character design threw me for a massive loop! But I did Miaaga, and it looked like Jhango was getting ready to show off! It's funny, because she's the only character right now who doesn't have a backstory.

All in all, I'm really happy with how the lightning came out, the background colors & the color scheme (opposing & complementary colors).

Just remind me not to do a three-morph char portrait any time soon X_x'
