During summer 2012 I started to bring my tiny sketchbook around, along with a black fineliner and a couple grey Copic markers. Beach people are naked enough for some good anatomy practice.
These are four sketchbook pages - the first and the fourth are from summer and winter 2012, the other two are from last summer. Some of the older ones look awful I want that little girl to stay far away from me
I think my gesture drawing skills and sense of proportions improved with these – now I feel a lot more comfortable jotting down a quick pose knowing I won't be able to erase.

These are very good! You captured a lot of life without too much fuss. I can tell you're comfortable with ink.

There's nothing like not being able to erase. I used to be afraid of drawing in pen: now I can't imagine doing life studies without it.

Thank you! Same here: brainstorming and sketching works a lot better with a pen, for me.

Oops, forgot to mention: I like the study of the two people on a bench. It looks less like a study and more like a scene from a comic.
