Well, here's Justin being hiss typical douchey self. I like to compare this scene to two bucks fighting over a doe. Because. That's what's happening here. xD Except Riley's not really participating. He's just kind of all "Wow, you're not even worth fighting..."

So... does Justin actually know Riley's a dog, or is it just an ironic statement? Awesome expressions! I love how the background is blurred. It gives it a more movie feel. If you ever decide to write a book of this or even better, a movie, I'd definitely buy it.

it could just be me, but to me, Riley reminds me of Edward Cullen from Twilight. also justin seems like he actually wants to start a fight with Riley. how i see it, as soon as Riley walks away from justin, maddy could be there with Riley and as soon as Riley's back is turned, justin kicks maddy(not knowing it really is maddy)Riley then turns around quick and sees justin calling her a "stupid cur" riley then gets angry, walks up to justin, and gives justin a right hook in the cheek. that then could start a comical, slapstick fight of justin trying to pop riley back, only for riley to dodge every move.

Cool idea though! It makes me laugh because that could totally happen between those characters. xD Maddy is actually absent from my version of the scene though (it's critical to the story that she doesn't show up till later), but I'll probably include the later part where Riley's dodging all of Justin's moves. There'll be a different trigger to set Riley off, too. ;D

that's cool, you know this image makes me see Riley as the story's hero a little more than the secondary protagonist. I know Maddy is the main protagonist, but i think Riley is another main protagonist, sort of like in the film "Princess Mononoke" where there are two main protagonists. but that's just my opinion.

You're right, he is a bit more than just a secondary character. Originally he had a smaller part, but I grew too fond of him and gave him a part almost as big as Maddy's. He doesn't really go through the whole "coming through many trials, the hero comes out a better person" thing though. But I think it gives a nice contrast to Maddy's character. She's the one that goes through the most changes (quite literally lol) while he's the stable one who helps her through it.

exactly, and i think that resolved as a nice ending where maddy not only became a human again, but a whole new, better person who found the person she loves, in the person who was once her dog, but is now her human protector

This reminds me of a weird dream that I had in January, where I was the one grabbing a guy by the collar like that at one point, but he was taller than me. I'd thought that he'd killed someone very important to me, and I wanted to pretty much rib his head off because of it, actually, I'll just post the portion of the dream I'm talking about from the Off-White
forums where I posted the whole thing a while back.
This is the part I'm talking about:
{I looked around the cefeteria, and everything was still the same as it had been moments before, but the group was gone, and posted on a pillar against a far wall, was a message board. Only one thing was posted. It was a small picture like you'd find in a chat room to show who's talking. Below the icon was a message that read "She's dead. They've killed her." At the bottom was the name Jason. I was suddenly overwhelmed, and I dropped to the ground, still staring at the board. Then, replacing the shock and grief, was a rage that began to grow inside me again. "Jason..." I muttered. Then, as the rage grew, I uttered that horrible name again, like I was calling him out from the shadows to face me."Jason..." There was nothing but silence in the room. I felt the anger consume me further, and rising to my feet, I called him out one last time.
"JASON!!!!"
Finally, there was an answer, but it wasn't the one I expected. To my side, a tall figure appeared. His hair was long enough to cover his ears, and his skin was pail white. He was dressed in black, and... he wasn't Jason. He was nowhere near the guy I knew. This was someone else, but looking at him, I knew that HE was the one, not the Jason I know, who had commited the unspeakable act. I rushed up and grabbed the collar of his shirt. He was taller than me, so it didn't do any good trying to lift him by his shirt. I managed to speak through my teeth at him. "You did this! WHY?!?! ANSWER ME YOU S... Before I could finish, something happened. The guy began to disappear, his image fading away. But someone else began to appear in his place. Before dissappearing completely, the man got a big grin on his face, much like the group thugs had given me earlier. Then, in his place, stood the Jason I knew, with a somber look on his face. I was stunned from what had just happened. "Wha...YOU?!? What happened just now? Where did HE go?" I asked. There were a million questions going through my head at that moment, but before I could ask any more, Jason floored me with his reply:
"She's alive. She's won."
My eyes widened at the two sentences, and I collapsed to the ground. I looked up, and heard a soft crack in the distance. "What..." Suddenly, the walls and ceiling blackened and faded out of existance, followed by the floor.}
That's just the portion I'm referring to, so I know it doesn't make much sense. Still, that's what this scene reminds me of. By the way, Jason is a Junior at my school who has been like a rival/enemy of mine since I transfered to the school last year as a Junior myself. He's been sniping at me for some reason ever since I got there, so that's a little background info on that whole thing.
Sorry about the long post. There was a lot for me to say about it. Really cool picture! I look forward to seeing how the story turns out!
