The color is beautiful.
The only thing that struck me was the blue stripe on the frog, is that from nature?
(I can't wait to see this finished.)

ha ha.
this was in progress when i posted it last year.
there is a more finished version:

but... to tell the truth,
the work is still unfinished.
the client has me animate pieces little by little when he rounds up enough of a budget.
...its a very complicated story.
Joshua Davis from Praystation initiated the piece for his hip hop client Kanye West.
Kanye was going to have his bear walk through several forest scenes.
i drew up the scene in blue and Joshua requested a egg yolk sky.
the piece was 10% completed when the client mysteriously disappeared without word.
its pretty rare. i can't think of another client who's disappeared on me.
the orphaned piece was next temporarily used in a band poster for the bluegrass group Brushfire Stankgrass. [link]
the poster was eventually replaced by custom artwork featuring the band members under a waterfall. [link]
i began working with a professor who focuses on transversal poetics and theater. as best i can explain, transversal poetics is the art of making new connections to break barriers and see things in fresh perspective. the client has a modest budget but figured out how to get himself a spectacular website by allowing me to recycle old illustrations for it. that's where the frog is now. the blue stripe makes more sense when you see the lightning strike. Hah, the picture has a rather rich history. I like how modular the elements seem to be... Coolness.

Great job - I love the bright colors and two-toned shading. The childlike scene comes alive with your whimsical style!

thank you.
i don't comment much myself.
not in real life and not on the computer.
i enjoy things but don't often have things to say.
what matters is that people see.
