Description
In life, something that we all long for, deep down inside, is to be accepted and loved for WHO WE ARE. Not what others want us to be, not what society tells us to be, not because we are dressed the best, and not because we are the smartest, but for who we are RIGHT NOW. In spite of the fact that we are not perfect, in spite of the fact that we mess up, in spite of the fact that we are not the best at anything in life, in spite of the fact that we don't know everything, we still want to be loved. Don't we all?If someone we love does need to change, remember to approach the subject delicately, and that it can be extremely hurtful for that person to deal with. There is a correct approach to take with every individual situation; however, starting off with a good relationship that is based on loving that person for who they are is a great start. You'll be amazed at the difference it can make. Aren't we all slightly flawed? Don't we all feel a little insecure? Wouldn't it help us if we knew that someone loved us, even though we aren't perfect? Is there really such a thing as a perfect person? I don't believe that there is. Couldn't we all improve in life? Before we start deciding that others should change, let's begin by looking at ourselves in the mirror and seeing if there is something we could work on inside of ourselves. Sometimes the best way to positively help someone change is by setting a good example. Now go out and love people for the beautiful, individual, flawed, and diverse human that they are, not for who we think they should be. Remember, nobody is perfect, and they probably think something in you could change too.
Faves, features, comments and watches are always welcome and extremely appreciated. I always try to support those who support me, especially watchers, but sometimes life is busy, so thank you for any support in advance! If you use this picture, please send a link!

Nice concept. You're absolutely right, that we mustn't love people for what we think they SHOULD be, but I think that there is nothing wrong with loving people for what they COULD be, especially kids and young people. No matter if you look at yourself or somebody else, the thought that the best is yet to come is nice, isn't it^^
More people should understand that (little) flaws are fascinating, because they only emphasize the good sides, right?
What I like the most about this picture is, that your comment suggest, that it's not just about loving and accepting (i. e. becoming reconciled with flaws), but also about love that can bring one to new heights.
Anyways, I came to your work thanks to #PortraitClub
Greetings

Amazing work!
Your words are very true, if we truly love someone we are not going to try and change that person, we accept her/him with the 'whole pack'.
However, it is not possible to love everyone because some people's values and personality just don't match our values or personality.
I think what we should try to do is to be tolerant and less judgemental and love without barriers our loved ones. As for the others...let them live their lives.

There are hundreds of ways to interpret this picture! First of all, I ADORE the subject and how you presented it. Very nice, very creative! The torn card, for me, represents the desperate longing for somebody to love us. Then the clean yet darker shade of the bottom card is sort of a whisper, but still demanding all the same.
The girl as well speaks a lot! (If she is you, OMG you're goregous if I haven't said before!) Like, she is NOT one of them Vouge models or whatever. She ISN'T perfect or dressed up for anybody because that is HER and she wants someone to love her for HER.
This just hits home for me in tons of ways. Like, you really want people to love or like you for you, but with how the world is, being YOU and unique is just a pain and difficult. Ths, I guess, makes people turn and act like others that seemed "loved" by others to feel loved, even though they aren't loved for them or really aren't loved at all. (If that makes sense.)
And I love that! WE ALL ARE NOT PERFECT!! Nobody is perfect, we're all unique, and we're all lovable! Gosh, this is just a fabulous picture and I am so sorry I have waited this long to comment and fav (which I want to fav like a billion times)
Whoa! Suuuuuuuper long comment, well, Maddy out Danny!

I abolutely, positively, and comeplely agree with you... Some people are so intent on who they think they SHOULD be that they don't see who they REALLY are. Does that make sense? I know that's not exactly what you're saying here, but it's what you made me think of. I used to be so busy trying to be like everyone else that I lost sight of who I really was, truly, on the inside. You've inspired me greatly. This piece of work really hits home for many, many people. You've got a knack for packing powerful emotions into simple scenes. You truly are amazing !

Your description and the way you portray your message in the picture is VERY inspiring. C;
I've been suffering from self esteem issues, and I've been having little fights with my friends. I thought it was my fault, and there was somehting wrong with me, so I tried to change and be different for them. But there were still more fights. I then realized that it wasn't me. It's okay to tell one's opinion because you have courage to tell your opinion and be your own person. It's okay to have fights with your friends every once in a while because it shows we can be open to each other with our opinions and not be afraid to argue. However, those that ridicule and question you on how you act and why you speak like you do do not see you for who you are. If they fight you with the thought of fighting you only through direct insults, they judge you off of what they want you to be, not who you are. They need to open their eyes and know that you have faults and they have flaws.
-And everyone notices this after a fight. They will be angry, but they will know that it was an argument to prove something about ourselves to someone else, and you are mature to find it educational and worthwhile to do it again. I am going to do my best to see the faults in myself, but accept it, and fix them. Sometimes it takes a long time, but it all counts if you keep going. I will set the good example for myself and know that everyone has their faults, so who am I to blame them for their way of life? I have my flaws too.
Sorry, long rant. Thanks for letting me think about this. It's helped me a little. I've just made a vow that was easy to type, but is challenging to carry out and continue. I will be the mature one to change though. For myself and not for others.
