Digital art project where I was tasked with the creation of a super hero from scratch.
Three universes before our own a mighty collective of cosmic beings known as the Order of Cephalynth was forged. The Order acted as inter-dimensional disciples branding the universe with the ideology of their god. Composed of many species occupying many worlds the order carries out the will of the Dreadgod Cephalynth and dispatches any who oppose his reign. Near the end of the second universe their great order was shot into disarray when the Dreadgod Cephalynth himself was called to justice by the Neth'ul D'horakk, an ancient species of humans in opposition to the order. In response Cephalynth summoned his most deadly warriors the Court of Three. Three beings rumored to be the offspring of Cephalynth these mighty warriors could bend the very fabric of time and space to their will and used this power to drown the old universe in their wrath. Named in unknown tongues the Court of Three were given each a moniker by which they could be identified; the Eye, the Hand, and the Voice. However, in the time of the second universe this power was not exclusive as the Neth'ul D'horakk bore their own deadly warriors. Three champions would rise from the ashes of a now dying race, clad in golden armor and white robes with wings that glowed with the intensity of a white sun, wielding weapons forged in the heart of the last God star. Herazephyrous, the mighty solar giant that housed the Neth'ul D'horakk home system, and the three would call themselves the The Knights of Orion. Three verses three, the warriors met in a region of untamed space to settle this cosmic dispute. Words of an ancient tongue were exchanged briefly before the warriors clashed, battling across dimensions tearing great gashes into the black of space ripping the universe apart until finally their conflict brought them back to Herazephyrous. In the chaos a stray tear broke out near the great God star forcing a premature supernova. The stars began to convulse, white space began to shine through the black, rips and tears across the universe began to split apart and suddenly. Silence.

As space began to reform and the dust of the now passed universe began to settle the six opponents looked upon each other in dismay. For not a single blow struck, nor a plate of armor pierced could bring these warriors even a modicum closer to death. And so in the white of space the six floated adrift, pondering silently as the new universe took shape around them. Finally, space fractured one last time as the Dreadgod Cephalynth himself clawed his was through a massive black hole to assert his reign over this new universe. His hundred eyes looked upon the the six warriors with a rage equal to the billion years he traveled across to find them. However, his travel through time weakened him greatly and the Knights finally saw their chance to make a decisive strike. Cephalynth rallied his children the brothers Hand and Voice and their sister Eye all while the knights continued to ponder. Together, Cephalynth and his children gathered their powers summoning hordes of cosmic beasts and abominations ready to do battle one last time. The knights gathered themselves in full compliance with what must be done. The first knight began to glow white hot as he held his sword to his chest before driving it through his own heart releasing the essence of a God star. The white space began to cling to his skin, rapidly piling on until only a molten sphere was visible. Continuing to draw in the white space the sphere grew larger and lager until finally forming into a God star. The two remaining knights erupted from their positions easily cutting through the summoned monstrosities before once again engaging with the children of Cephalynth. While still in the midst of battle a great force began to pull the three children towards the new God star. Now free from conflict the two knights then engaged Cephalynth himself driving their swords deep into the Dreadgod plunging him and themselves through the black hole back into the old universe. Once on the other side the two knights clutched their blades tight, pulling them from the beast and plunging them into their own hearts causing a rapid expansion of white space as their brother before them had done. The children of Cephalynth had now almost entirely been absorbed by the God star and so, it began to collapse.

The bounds of space and time once more began to tear and fracture as the Orion God star collapsed completely on itself forming a giant black hole a hundred times the size of the one Cephalynth crawled through. The two knights clutched Cephalynth as they began forming into God stars of their own, his skin searing and cracking from the heat. The mega black hole began to consume the other, light could be seen shining though as the screams of Cephalynth echoed across the cosmos. The two new God stars merged together around Cephalynth and began to go supernova as the massive black hole closed around them. Finally a solar flare of star dust and black energy erupted outward causing the two black holes to merge into an atom. The atom sat motionless in the white of space for a moment before silently exploding outward on a universal level. Once more silence fell on the universe, space was black, and stars began to form. Billions of years would pass before the universe would once again sustain life, and the only memory of the universes before ours would lie in three stars that cut across our earth sky, Orion's belt.

However, at the farthest edge of the universe whispers can be heard in the black of space. A shadow cast by the lights of Orion's belt. The shadow of Cephalynth.
