Description
Been thinking of DS9 lately and decided to whip up a simple pic of the Defiant. Not much to it but I do like it!

Speaking of renders, how long does it take to make a pic like these ones?.

This particular one wasn't too long. Maybe 10 minutes to render. It takes me longer to compile it all. Placing the lights or model. Now, if I use a Battlestar like the ones I use, that sometimes take 1-2 hours to render. So it varies.

Then I was guessing correctly that the time for renders can depend on the ammount of polygons, because TanJ's battlestars are very heavy in polygons.
But I bet you love the final results in your pics

My pc is 6 years old going on 7 years. It works good but it is showing it's age.

That's not good. My screen did bust though. Funny story too. My hard drive went out on it a while back. So I replaced the hard drive. As soon as I had Windows up and running, I knocked the laptop off the table and on the floor. Needless to say it busted my screen. So, I had to replace it too. I haven't it running too long. Maybe 4-5 months. She is a good one. But I do know that I will have to buy another in the future.

I also know I would be needing a new PC in the future, but I think that as for as long this PC can handle my needs and working fine, then there is no problem and no hurry at all.
