Secret Origins: Raised in the fiery pits of the 4th World planet of Apokalips by none other by it's planet resdient benevolent tyrant Darkseid and it's main general Granny Goodness, Gamora was trained her entire life to become into the deadliest woman alive in the galaxy as one of Granny's Female Furies.
Despite being adoctrinated into believing in the world of Darkseid eventually started to question the how' and why' she was who she was, eventually having a crisis of consciense during one of the many tasks put on her and the other Furies.
Eventually as Gamora became more doubtfull, her true origins were revealed to her as more she started investigating discovering that she was the sole surviving member of the Zen Whoberi race, the other's of her kind being killed by Darkseid himself.
The Starways of New Earth: Discovering her true origin ultimately lead Gamora to leave the 4th World and Apokalips, breaking rogue against the people she once aleged alliegnace to and becoming a bounty hunter, earning her name of ''The Deadliest Woman of The Galaxy''
However Gamora was eventually imprisioned on the Kyln Prison, alongside those who she would call teammates later down in her life, Peter Quill and the Guardians of The Galaxy, intergalatic outlaws self-tasked on protecting the very starways they lived.
Eventually Gamora alongside the Guardians would be tasked to protect Rann from an upcoming threat, however unlike what they believed before, these wasn't any regular enemy but rather the ultimate of adversaries, Parallax.
During their fight against Parallax, the team would lose one of it's key members in the form of Star Lord yet however would gain one in the form of Adam Strange, along with it would also gain a new mission, protect the galaxy and Adam's world, Earth, from this upcoming threat. After Peter Quill's death and herself being the most capable on the team, Gamora became the defacto leader of the Guardians.
