With lullaby for a princess, I have a deep understanding for Luna. (and she is best princess) I saw the original before this remake and I fell in love with it. I love this style that she's in a little more however. She's being pulled back from what she knows is right and subjecting to Nightmare moon. I love how it looks sketched with the shading just a tad and I believe this should be on Zedge because this would make a very unique and lovely background!!! I love the name as well. It fits a lot. I love this picture so so so so much you don't even know. I looked at other pieces of your work and you gained a watch from me. And maybe a llama badge ^.^

Ok, here we go, critique number two.
This one tells a really nice story about how Luna might have felt inside when her own hatred and jealousy dragged her further and further into her own darkness.
The background is great, the flow from light to darkness adds to the mood and makes for a good contrast. Some goes for the tendrils of darkness that try to grab Luna and drag her down into her own madness.
But what's not quite to my taste are Lunas mane/tail and her expression. For her mane, I think you should have drawn her right front hoof in front of the mane instead of behind it. In my head her mane just isn't translucent and seeing it like this just feels not right. Next thing would be the colors of her mane. It looks like they are splashed over her hair instead of flowing inside it and that also contributes to the impression of wrongness, just like the layering of her hoof and mane.
Regarding Lunas expression I only have to that it looks really strange. It look like the left half of her mouth is open, while the right half is pressed close. If I assume she is crying or screaming for help, that just doesn't fit. If I scream at something I open my mouth as wide as I can and if I cry I press my lips together. The Problem is that both don't go well together, it would be much better if you would have decided for one of those two.
Overall a really moving picture with a strong head canon behind it. But, for me, the mentioned details make it feel a little strange and kind of wrong.
If you ever redraw it, maybe expand it a little to the left and add Celestias hoof which is reaching out for Luna. I think it would make the picture much more powerful and contribute to the mood very nicely.
