Description
THIS SHALL BE UPDATEDI figured out that pretty much ALL maps, including official ones, are actually wrong. The Romulan Empire is in the Alpha quadrant and shares borders with the UFP, Klingon Empire and Cardassian Union. Great. So I shall endeavor to fix this. We've all been fooled for far too long :U
I made this map for rp purposes on theΒ Revolution Fleet rp forum/sim set in 2380, in the vicinity of a sector counting abnormally high wormhole activity. In reminiscence of DS9, you can play Starfleet personnel or civilians, on ships or on the starbase, join a campaign or make your own.
The map features Starbase 31, close to the Klingon and Gorn borders, and the Sloane Distortion (aka Sloane Wormholes Zone, but that was a bit long for the map). Cardassia also became bit of a clusterfuck of whatsgoingon: most colonies of the DMZ were taken by the Federation in exchange for industrial replicators, and many Cardassian worlds are seceding from Prime.
Anyway, it was fun doing that map and it's like really huge. Have fun getting lost in the stars.
(also sorry for watermarks -- this map is for a specific rp and fanon material)

Great map, and would make a beautiful wallpaper picture for the/my computer, if it wasn't covered in watermarks.Β

This might not be an issue at all- it's possible that an arm of the empire wraps around federation space on top or below that map. At least, we shouldn't forget that we are in 3-dimensional space- and even if the galaxy is flat, it still has a height- this would also explain that in the official map, the federation is divided (as you depicted here)- in fact, it isn't, it's just that most of the planets of the federation and other powers are located in mostly the same height. We maybe have a few worlds on the top and bottom connecting the romulan empire with the cardassian union and the area behind klingon and romulan space with the main federation space. This would also explain how to travel to these places with federation vessels forbidden to enter romulan and klingon space.

Yes, but the RSE should still be in the Alpha quadrant β I mean, that justification could work if we didn't have this division, because there comes a point when it gets plain ridiculous to make a confusing map like that xD

Would be even more stunning if I'd put the RSE in the Alpha quadrant as it should be ; n ;

I really like how you did your sector blocks. I am guessing the color has to do with the government with majority control and the lack of lines relates to lack of explored space?

Thanks! And yes, that's pretty much the idea^^ If not unexplored, then unclaimed space

If you are curious here is mine:Β ST DTR Star Chart Updated 0.8 Β Β I used as many source materials as i could find and could reliably support, showing locations from many of the novels and soft canon reference materials.

Very nicely done!Β I did one similar a few months back, it is a tone of work!Β I love the look of yours!
No tholian issues in your RP? Just guessing since their territory isn't on the map.

Indeed, no Tholian issues so far, but wormholes that are a bit wild and may spit out things. Or lifeforms. From another galaxy.

Can I ask how the Federation ended up on opposite sides of the Klingons?

Idk, space is three-dimensional and this is but a 2d attempt at a representation, so well?

So the UFP goes "under" or "over" the Klingons. okay.

Hahaha that sounds funny for some reason. But yeah, I suppose that's kind of the idea That's probably why Cardassians patrol their space so much, to make sure someone doesn't comes from... wherever they come from. Why would you go to Cardassia anyway?
