Description
This was my very first rendering assignment in my Intro to Illustration class. We made the still life ourselves and took the reference photos ourselves too. This took me about 75 hours or so total and was done with Black and White Acrylic paint. Yes. REAL paint. It turned out all right. Not as good as others in my class but I am so proud of it because I have never painted like this before. Wow. Yeah, so.... I disab;ed critiques because I got crits from the WIP and my Teacher and classmates. I'm not changing it as it is turned in and graded all ready. Look forward to my coloured one at the end of the semester. The only reason i am even uploading this one is because I was able to scan it quite nicely as opposed to the HORRIBLE photographs of it that I WAS taking. At any rate... Um... Yeah. So, enjoy.

I prefer this to the high key turn out. This looks a lot better overall as just painting vs other painting. Of course, I know both were assigend and as so were to test your abilities. This turned out really well, though. You should be proud.

It looks fantastic though. I particurally like the way you can feel how the drawer's shaped in that curl, both in the closed one and the one hanging out.

Thank you very much! ^_^ Yes... 75 hours on our first rendering. Actually it was supposed to be like 120 hourse or so, but because I blew a weekend off when my boyfriend came to town, I was a bit behind.
