Description
I decided to reupload this from my old account, because I know a lot of people who use GiMP still. XDAnd, I did not draw that image, just to note.
Original Description:
I posted a link to my transparency tutorial a while back, but I took screen captures and made an image for those who didn't want to have to sign up just to see it. :3
Anyway, here's how to make transparencies using MS Paint and GIMP, for those who can't afford PS. All info about where to get it is on here.

Yay! Thanks, I enjoy using Gimp and it's simpler than PS to me. Now I know what to do with Paint...

During the "select by color" process you should be able to paste or type in the hex code you see in the color picker information, to make sure it selects only that exact color to make transparent.

Why did you use paint to clean it up?
You could have done it all from Gimp, much easier.

I know a easier way, by using Paint.Net. It is too a free minic of photoshop, plus I lik it so much better than GIMP. :3 maybe I should make a tutorial of it.

lol if I need to make a transparency I'll work in Paint if the image has hard edges, PS if it has soft. The reason is that PS makes my computer slow, so I can use other programs for less difficult tasks
