this is Reki (darker hair) and Rakka (lighter), from Haibane Renmei (Ash-Wings Federation or something in english
), a mysteriously unknown yet terrific series. ^____^;;they're both girlzzz~ xD
i didn't mean it to be shoujo-ai or anything, but you can see it however you please.
i've gotta say, i actually really like the way this turned out. C:
there are plenty of places that could've been a lot better, but... i don't care. <3
i tried out a lot of things in this piece~ in places where i usually only use 2 or three colors, i used liek 5 or 6...

Just finished this series today...and it was so good! But I wouldn't expected anything less from Yoshitoshi ABe who also made the excellent Serial Experiments Lain (if you haven't seen, its def worth the watch). It makes me sad that he doesn't seem to be making anime anymore because his work was such better quality than any recent series I've seen. I don't know, maybe I'm just into "old school" stuff lol.

Haibane Renmei was such an incredible series. I really like the pencil work on this one, the shading and gradients are just amazing. If I tried to do anything like that without computer assistance, it would end up looking like the kind of thing your parents stick on the refridgerator when you're a little kid out of pity XD
