this... is Horrible. and has such an original title. *dripping with sarcasm* really it was just a 10 minute doodle that i liked and therefore inked and colored. but... i think i liked the sketch a lot better. T-T;completely not worthy of such a wonderful character. Reki, from Haibane Renmei, because i just finished the series today and felt like I should draw something for it. (even though the getting-to-be-extensive list of fanarts i've planned to do did *not* include Haibane.)
sorry for such terrible work~ i'll get back to my other stuff now. xD;;;

It's not terrible - it's wonderful! I just don't get some artists who think that their works are ugly while it's the contrary.

Your coloring skills with pencil are fantastic! The texture you got really suits the gloomy Reki mood. Awesome work.

Hey~ nice job. ^^ ::interestingly, finished the series about 3 days after you:: I don't think I've ever seen anyone mix Prisma's with Crayola though..... I have a general dislike of Crayola and Prisma's often leave my drawing hand sore, so don't expect someone like me to ever figure out you could combine them for one drawing and make it work~! It might seem mussy to you, but as long as its got a consistency in texture, who's gonna know?
I especially like the position of the lighting too. Lovely symbolism of having Reki facing away from the light source (and how it doubles with showing that her feathers are, in fact, sinbound since they would have been a lighter shade otherwise) And the faint, eerie green glow seals the deal (suggesting something spooky about herβ¦) ^_~;
Minor, minor critique- the ear could be further right. Never hurts to double check a sketch before inking.
.......well, actually it does hurt if time is a factor. XD; ::has a looooooong list of fanarts on his To Do List, dating back to 2002::
You can bet as soon as I get one good Haibane Renmei idea, it'll immediately take top priority. XD;;;

wow, you got exactly what i was going for with the lighting and whatnot! though with how quickly i went through this thing, i'm afraid that was pretty much the only thing i put any sort of deep thought into when i did it~
