Description
I'm sure it's been done before, but here's my idea for a world like earth, but instead of being a world on a sphere, it's a world inside a hollow sphere, with some kind of star-like object in the centre that pushes outwards. The physics for the universe this is set in would probably have to be quite different to the physics we know.

This is awesome. like everyone says it can be a Sphere of Dyson, Pryan, Hollow Earth, but I like too to see it this as a completly new thing, like a new kind of object in space, it can be floating terrains, or fixed in the sky like primitive cosmologies.
It remembers me to some of my own concepts, but this is original in itself of course. Mine are this: Echlye, the Bowl world , The Neshl Earth , The Neshlspik Earth , The Zhîn of Earth IV .

Ooooh wonderful ideas!
Ever played Halo 3? They have The Ark, which is some kind of massive, flat, but curved structure in space with various land masses on, like a Halo but way bigger!

nope but I know about the Ark of Halo. That structure and the one of Ian Banks Culture books (I didn't read them) are based somewhat in the Ringworld . In fact the Discworld of Pratchett was moking a bit that book
I have a favorite collection: jakeukalane.deviantart.com/fav…. The creatures are from those books, but there are also lots of interpretations of Ring worlds. Also you might want to see Rama related deviations like Rama and the monolith /Rama (not mine).
Wonderful idea of you, is similar, but original in its own way.

What a fantastic concept! And such stunning scenes!
I've always imagined falling into the sky - imagining the world upside down and plunging into that great blue void.
I shall have to check this movie out! ^^

Bad voice acting can really ruin a movie xD
I do like dubs but only good dubs. My example is the original Streamline dub of Akira versus the later Pioneer dub of Akira - the Streamline one gets pronunciations wrong but is also much more aggresive making the whole thing a tad more trippy - the Pioneer dub is much more accurate, with better lipsync, closer sounding voices (the children sound like children, the teenagers sound a bit more like teenagers) and they say Ah-kih-rah instead of Ah-keer-ah, Ka-neh-da instead of Ka-nay-da, Tet-su-oh instead of Tet-swo, which makes it all just a little different ;D

yeah. In Spain we have really good dubs but in case of japanese anime I don't think the original can be topped either by spanish or english dubs...

Indeed, such a universe would have different working principles than ours. Another possibility, given your description and image - - - the scene shows part of a 'Dyson sphere's' interior; possibly a nature preserve or recreation area.
Freeman Dyson generally gets credit for the idea, legitimately - the name comes from his 1960 paper, "Search for Artificial Stellar Sources of Infrared Radiation." The idea of enclosing a star in an artificial shell goes back at least to Olaf Stapledon's "Star Maker." (1937)
(Shameless self-promotion follows - I talked about this sort of thing in July, 2015 - catholiccitizenamerica.blogspo… )

Ooh fascinating! I especially like the ant analogy xD
Since posting this picture on various sites, I've had a number of different interpretations
You've compared it to an enclosed star (which is awesome by the way)
and someone on reddit has referred to it as 'what is inside earth', sort of like a mirror world? ouo

Neat concept~ and pretty interesting too especially since I've actually heard of people theorizing that there are societies living below the earth's crust
