Life is a puzzle and I'm just a piece,
life is a book and I'm caught in the crease,
life is a car and I've run out of gas,
but life is just Uno, and I've just been passed.

I still haven't been where I thought I would be,
I still haven't seen what I hoped I would see,
I still haven't done what's important to me,
but I know I still can if I still believe.

Some things that I've valued have wandered away,
some things that I've planned have been set back a day,
some things that I've paused have decided to play,
but some things I've let go before I was betrayed.

As my life goes it hasn't been the worst,
as my life goes I've rarely placed first,
as my life goes it's for knowledge I thirst,
but as my life goes I may have been cursed.
