A tightness in the heart and soul,feeling empty, lone and cold,
wishing it would simply pass,
before you go do something rash.
It's just a broken heart young man,
buck up, steel, and take a stand,
forget the darkness of tonight,
and look to dawn's embracing light.
She was special to you, I can see,
but she wasn't what you really need,
so let love come and let love go,
and when it's really real, you'll know.
When that time comes, you'll take her hand,
and know that this was all as planned,
a winding path to bring you there,
to a happy life of love and care.

A friend of mine came up with one of the
most interesting analogies I've heard.
Love is like picking a lightbulb.
-Too dim, and it will be changed out.
-Too bright, and it will burn out quickly.
-Just right, and the light will shine for years to come.
When the right one is found, you'll know.
Maybe not the best analogy, but certainly food for thought.

We all need a little hope sometimes, whether it comes from ourselves or not.
