My comment:
This was something I had in my mind. I wanted to express emotion of two different sides.
What this image is intending (to me), are uncontrolable feelings and emotions with either one side or the other (happy or sad).
Basically, its the difference between those two.
Also, with life, there is usually a link, or a cause, if u prefer. This "link" is the background setting.
It kindof shows that there are two sides to everything, and neither are intended.
The symbol of the angel is basically happiness. She expresses everything we (or I), what in life. Such as beauty, happiness, a sense of self, etc.
The symbol of the scared girl is everything I do not want. IE - having to watch over myself and being critical of everything I do. Always having a worry on my mind.
I guess, to me, its kind of a mixure of feelings and emotions, not to meantion symbols and expressions.
Hopefully, you'll find your own meaning to this deviant.

The white angel reminds me of purity and innocence, a time in one's life where happiness thrives as no mistakes have been made.
The darkness surrounding the scared girl depicts of someone hiding - shying away from unhappiness and all that is bad.
Well, that's how I see it. Great pic

Nice use of layering, this is going on my favourites, and it is my favourite work of yours.
Good choice of stock, and especially colour; the emerald really gives it a lot of depth.

imo, this symbolizes that world is filled and controlled by dark thoughts/or something, but there's still some good left in form of a angel. So, I really like how the mass of black dominates this pic and how the angel, left to the little space on bottomright corner, brightens things up. And what comes to the scared girl - I can't see it.
