Description
A couple years back, when I was experimenting with doing something different, less detail oriented (seeing as I suck at it most of the time).I like painting cats, so I thought I'd paint cats differently than I ever did before. Not try to much for every painstaking detail, but the essence of cats.
When I uploaded the Blu Kat: I heart the garden [link] I mention this piece not having a decent photo yet, well I found one. It's not the best, as there is glare and some cat hair managed to make its way onto the canvas (I swear I cleaned it before shooting lol cat hair moves fast!).
These are the Blu Kat Stays, homeless blu kats, peering into a nearby window, much like the regular feline strays do here.
I used three small canvas panels to create a sort of reverse window on the larger canvas.
The eyes are actually metallic paint so they reflect light much like actual cats. I have another shot of this where I covered the lights and the blu kats disappear except for their seemingly glowing eyes.
See this effect here: [link]
Acrylic on canvas.

And my cat would stare back at it.

It's like they're all asking, "We can has inside?"
