Y'know what I don't really like? I don't really like it when every single character in a story is like... 16 or 17. It just doesn't make sense. As much as I love little kids saving the world, I just don't think that a bunch of tweens running around is really a good party for saving the world. *coughcoughtalesofdestiny2cough*

My anime fandom basically grew up on kid-save-world series... and yet I have to agree with you. You end up having this... totally objectified version of a "kid", for no actual good reason you can think of, trying to save the world and thinking things far beyond their years to do it. It's silly... people shouldn't be scared of adult participants. Especially where they're really more appropriate than kiddies.
The other thing is, most of the kids I know are so nihilistic... I really wonder if they'd agree to SAVING the WORLD they LOATHE so MuCHh... and they can't even do the dishes. Could they really be depended on to save the planet? REALLY? :/ :/

Yeah. Well usually videogame kids don't loathe the world. But even if they're angsty, they'll save the world anyway.
But I just hate it when those little 15 year olds go "omg, we have to SAVE the WORLD OMG"
Or when they think they're right 100% without even considering the situation. But what I hate even most is that usually everything turns out all right ANYWAY. They don't even walk into mudpies or anything. C'mon!
