Description
The color adjust shader works wonders . There are three cloud layers. Two for the hurricane itself and one for some small clouds to compliment the storm. I'll be posting another image with a different POV probably tomorrow. Enjoy. C & C welcome.By the way, just to make sure I'm clear this is all accomplished using image masks.

terregan 2 is soo hard to use...i used the terregan classic...but the version 2 is complicating and slows down my pc..but dude... great work!..

It's funny. I just watched "The Day After Tomorrow", and I think the rendering here is better than some of the shots that were in that movie. AND, since that film was credited for its rather phenomenal visual effects, you should see where I'm going with this.

Thanks. This is a completely 3d shot which was made using a combination of a NASA based image map (for the large scale hurricane shape) and procedural methods to add smaller clouds and enhance detail that was missing in the image map.
