Everyone really liked the original for this so I drew it again (because I thought the original SUCKED) xDOriginal was in 2009, new one is 2012.

The new one is a serious improvement. Mostly, I think it has to do with the softer lighting--it really sets the mood :3

Thank you! I felt like I wanted to make it brighter, I didn't like the darkness of the original (even though I wanted to make it look like the night).
This time, I wanted it to seem more like a nap in the day time. xD

Wow, the new one's so sweet! But I find it hard to compare the two, because in my opinion they don't convey the same feelings... The first one's like, Axel trying to shelter Roxas and Xion from the dark, while the new one's like, the three of them resting happily in the light. And it's not just about the luminosity of the pictures, their eyebrows also seem more furrowed in the first one. So it's really like having two different pictures. x)
