How do you open the eye texture file?

If your new to this you shouldn't even use TDA xD It's not a good start at all. Plus, you don't even use PMD/MMD to open the eye file o-o;

Where I started, I just downloaded parts from dA here and yeah xD [link] my first is the pink haired girl
Ummm.....yeah I think I've come a ways xD
But anyway TDA Miku is different than any other model, her whole face and eye textures are together which makes it a huge pain.. So you have to open up that file and change the eye on there. Whichever program you like I suppose xD
Most models just have an eye texture which you can easily change.

Yeah. The first one I started with last time (I get in and out of the Vocaloid fandom, taking long breaks, but if you add them up together you could still say I'm new to this) was a LAT model. That one was pretty easy (though bones and physics annoyed me to the point of giving up).
But I'm still giving a try on the TDA model anyways~

Yeah, the physics on those two models I showed you are atrocious xD They crash MMD and everything.
The thing is, you need to delete all of the joints/physic-color-box-things(xD) that you don't use from the model of the part you used... Sounds confusing now but honestly, just play with PMD for a while. I never had a drop of help from anyone (not sounding mean, I just was too shy to ask) and I learned by trial and error.

And if you want to make a TDA model, you should try to steer away from making it a "crappy TDA edt"
people get really pissed when someone makes an ugly model with a TDA face, idk why, not like they didn't make ugly models with the last most popular face.
Just don't use 3DCG clothes, and if you use an accessory or hair, make sure you fit it right so it doesn't look so obvious and nasty...

It's annoying and a lot of work.. I don't know how to explain in detail if you arn't using gimp, but I can say it vaguely.
You need to open the texture with her eyes on it, and then just fit another eye texture on top of it. But it's really annoying and sometimes even impossible to do.. It took me a few tries to get it to look decent..

You have to ask TDA permission to use it, but not many people do :c

The bases found here on dA aren't that great but they're good if your just starting out, since the original TDA Miku model is .pmx
The bases on dA here you can use but don't give the finished model out for download
