This one has come out really well - for my part it's the better of the two, and i think maybe you're right about the retina display - the gold on his body seems more convincing here. But both pictures are fabulous!

No funds for new displays here, but the one i have at least is colour managed and reasonable quality. Itβs enough to see this beautifully painted beautiful but sinister man.

This is really good. It makes me remember the first conversation that the hobbits have with Aragorn, where Frodo states he trusts Aragorn because, if he were one of Sauron's servants, he would 'look fairer and feel fouler', and Aragorn, laughing slightly, replies that instead he must 'look foul and feel fair'. (I'm paraphrasing, but you get the idea, I'm sure

He looks fabulous. Love those wispy touch on the hair and those glimmering eyes.
Though , I find that the head accessory was too sharp to look at , compared on the rest of the picture's overall texture..making it a bit out of place imo.

And ooh, thanks for letting me know! Working on a Retina Screen is a pain when in Photoshop. Everything looks fine, until you see it on a normal screen, then some things look way too sharp (texture wise). I'll see if I can fix that. ^^
