Nowhere does it say that he has no eyelids. Sauron is never described as such. The only time the lidless eye is referred to is when Frodo sees the eye of Barad-Dur in the mirror. That's it. LOL

haha yes. But Sauron didn't have white chocolate panettone either, and it doesn't mention that. In the Breaking of the Fellowship when Frodo is on the stone throne we have, βAnd suddenly he felt theΒ Eye. There was an eyeΒ in the Dark Tower that did not sleep.
