Full view…or you won’t see Katara’s sweat, lolz.
I have a WELT on the outside of my right pinkie from drawing this. o___o I worked on this for…*counts*…over 12 straight hours. Then I took a nap. Then I worked on it for 10 more straight hours. What. The. Hell. This should be WA-HA-HEEEEY better considering how much time I put into it.
Anyway. Inspired by the scene in “The Headband” where Aang and Katara do a kickass free-style dance based on bending forms. This here is supposed to take place later in the series (obviously, since Aang’s bald again, hurr)…I guess Katara’s wearing her fire nation get-up for old time’s sake (also, it worked better with the colour scheme I was shooting for…and makes her look hawt).
I love this couple. They’re so freakishly adorable. I’m fickle, so it’s somewhat rare for me to genuinely adore a canon pairing (I usually like to yuri it up), as well as each character individually, as much as I love these two. X_x I wish I could have portrayed them better. Humans + Nylak = HORRIBLE PAINFUL FAILURE.

The fire and water look amazing, as do they. The time you put into this was worth it considering how well it turned out. The small details like her sweat, and the rumpling of their clothes makes it even better.

Very nice. Shading feels a little off, though, and it'd be nicer if the fire and water felt more... flowing.
May I say something? If you like Katara more than Kataang, why not just draw her, in combat or dressed for a soiree* or something like that? We need a little more 'ship-less Avatar fanart around here... Especially art involving the (ahem) 'shipping water wheel.

Although I like pretty much all of Avatar's characters, she's my least favorite, only because we haven't seen too much of her actual character, you know, her personality, because she's too busy being the motherly type.
You know, I'd like to see a Kataang piece where they're a little older, maybe dating... or married,

Amazing poses! I love the dedications to the little 'Kataango' scene- I agree, the pairing and the scene: totally sweet and utterly adorable.
You make Aang like so much more mature physically, though still capturing the sesitivity. And Katara is stunning and beautiful. The elements appear like they're actually in movement, and graceful at that. This really captures my eyes. I just adore it!

I duknnow, I like the way you did them. aside from the extreme thinness, it's awesome.
Just.. looks right the way it is. you have to look at it to realize that somewhere in that lovely picture, the proportions are a bit stretched. but if you don't look, ou won't even notice it, it just looks so good.

I made her eyes smaller again, and added more shadows. e.e; It still bugs me, but I've long since given up on it. And I freaking love drawing hair...but I think I got carried away; it's a little too much. *cough.*

XD I actually do appreciate that sentiment; I was afraid it'd be too blocky and distracting, so it's good to hear it's not a problem...this is only the second pic I've applied it to so far, but I plan on adding it retrospectively to all my "bigger" pieces. Damn art thieves. *shakes fist* X3
I wanted to incorporate my main character Soquili into the watermark somehow, but that looked tacky, so I just used the handprint on his hindquarters, though I don't expect people to interpret it that way. XD
