How do you draw them? Do you use reference or you're so used to the animals's structure thet you yourself create the positions?

A little bit of both, depending on the subject. XD Wolves and horses I can usually do without any references, but for the min pin in particular I had to google up a bunch of stuff, since I don't know much about their conformation. And yet I think I still made him way too buff for a toy dog. XD
