Taking a break in my commission schedule to draw something pour moi. =3 This here's my new character, XiΔn XuΓ¨. Love him, or he'll eat your face! D< Actually, he's a real sweetheart. He's just kind of DID.And yes, he's a type of dog. Not a wolf, hyena, dhole, or vampiric demon monster. Well. Maybe part of the latter. BUT NOT COMPLETELY. D<

did you know that China is the worlds top country in illegally selling exotic and endangered animals and they secretly eat deer and other really stange animal(um well) their parts) and im not talking about the heart and stuff im talking about the thing only males have ! they EAT THEM! i dont want to say it. but yea. they do. im baffled. wow wow wow. it creeps me out! and they eat TIGER PAWS!

I love how completely plausible this character is. (no sparkledogs!) Even though he's a mishmash of a lot of creatures too. Wonderful job with the design and I think I'm in love with how adorkable his face is in the top right panel. He looks so innocent there.

Wow do you really have me beat at animal anatomy! I can't draw animals if my life depened on it. well, I could but it wouldn't turn out looking quite as nice as yours. But great job! Plus I like the markings that you decided to go with. Again can't wait to see more!

That's just according to one of the students who helped me out over there, mind you, so I can't swear by it. XD Apparently it's just jargon. I'm always amazed at how the simplest change in pronunciation in that language can convey a different meaning. X3

Heehee, yeah XD It's like, at one of my dad's business meetings they had a gift set to give the representatives of the company in Beijing that they were visiting to merge with, and there was an umbrella in the set, and their language advisor had to stop them from giving it at the last second because of its closeless in pronunciation to an ill omen. >_> Ever since my dad's been furiously trying to learn the language/culture better and failing. XD

Heheh, apparently I'm not the only one to have the idea of using horse markings/colorings on another animal (not that I have any art to that effect since I rarely draw). Great minds think alike? I mean, some horse patterns are just inherently cool.
I actually always thought a dun canine or feline would turn out cool. Nicely executed.

I'm really loving the equine-inspired coloration and the use of a halter and stud chain. Of course, the halter isn't really all that surprising seeing that many people have begun to use them on their own dogs for normal walking purposes... I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I like that you've rigged the stud-chain in very much the same way as one would handle a particularly rank horse with horrid ground manners.

Yeah, I had a particularly interesting experience with one of our studs while leading him to hand mate--I'd never had to loop a stud chain through a horse's mouth before that fella, and the concept left an impression, since I've only used a nose chain for my own horse. XD It strikes me as a pretty effective deterrent against tugging--ouch! >_>;

random question, but what is with you and mandarin/chinese stuff? you name all your fursies in chinese (i can understand). oh, and im not saying this in a mean annoyed voice, but a joking voice (sounded meanish. XD)

Actually, I think this is the first I've named in Chinese; Soquili is Cherokee, and I don't really have any others with foreign names that I can think of...*contemplates*
And I just love the Chinese language. XD I'm taking classes in it, but since I wasn't raised around it it's pretty hard to learn it. It's part of my back-up plan in case vet school doesn't work, really; I want to get into agricultural genetics work overseas, and China is a top candidate for transferrance at the moment. Sides, it just sounds pretty. >_>
