Thanks.
I was thinking of how Lagoona dresses kinda tomboyish, and how I thought her sister should be the opposite of that.
I didn't do a good job coloring, so that shirt is supposed to be see through with a tank top underneath.

I can't wait to see Tangled.
And I think this is the first time (hopefully) that Disney hasn't released SO many clips of a movie that we practically know how it ends already.

SarcasticLeaves In reply to OakEvolution [2010-09-25 02:51:23 +0000 UTC]
I can't wait either.
I know exactly what you mean. What they did to Princess and the Frog was total overkill. Right now with Tangled you kinda know what's going on but not really. Most of the stuff they've been showing has been mainly comedic bits, nothing of real importance to the actual story. Kinda reminds me of Meet the Robinsons, in the sense of how they're handling the trailers. Which to me is awesome.

OakEvolution In reply to SarcasticLeaves [2010-09-25 02:53:55 +0000 UTC]
Agreed. I felt like I knew the whole story of P&TF by the time the movie cme out.
And YES. I went into Meet the Robinsons not knowing much about the movie.
I'd rather do that than go in knowing everything.
Disney needs to stop releasing so many trailers/clips/"sneak peeks" etc.

SarcasticLeaves In reply to OakEvolution [2010-09-25 03:12:29 +0000 UTC]
So did I, it almost made the movie a bit disappointing in that sense. I enjoyed it, but probably not as much as I would have.
I agree. There are way too many sneak peeks nowadays, it's not fun. I don't think Disney feels as braggy about this one, so that's a good sign. It's probably safe to say this will be one of the best movies they've ever made because of that fact.

OakEvolution In reply to SarcasticLeaves [2010-09-25 03:15:09 +0000 UTC]
Agreed. I wanted to like it more than I did. Because Disney hyped it up so much, it ruined so much of the movie.
I adore the animation. It's so..beautiful.
For a 3D movie, it looks oddly enough, like a painting.

SarcasticLeaves In reply to OakEvolution [2010-09-26 17:19:09 +0000 UTC]
Honestly when I reevaluate it, I don't think it was as epic as everyone wanted to believe it was. Sure it had gorgeous 2D animation and lovable characters, but aside from that... I found the story itself to be rather weak and lacking. I like the overall moral of the story, but not the way it was delivered.
Personally I find people are just a little far too nostalgic when it comes to Disney. It's like Disney movies aren't wonderful unless they're just like the movies that were made in the 90's. And with Princess and the Frog I felt in some areas they were just trying a little too hard to relive those days. Disney has always failed when trying to make an instant classic. While people loved this, I don't think it's going to be nearly as cherished as movies such as Beauty and the Beast or Lion King.
And moving on to the topic of the actual movie. Sorry that was a bit of a huge rant.
Yes, it does look like a painting. That's what the artist were trying to go for. It makes me sad that many people can't look past the fact that it's CGI and not 2D. They need to get over themselves and take another look. I mean, Glen Keane was one of the people in charge of this movie. I highly doubt if it's going to be rubbish. I wouldn't be surprised if it did 10 times better than Princess and the Frog. But that's just me...

I found the characters themselves to e kind of lacking, too. I wanted to know more about Naveen, but we only got a glimpse of his past and even Tiana wasn't my favorite princess. I really hoped it would be another really good Dsney thing for me, but no.
Yeah. I can honestly say I didn't feel it was as good as it was marketed to be.
It's beautiful for 3D. Unlike most people, I apprieceiate the 3D animation. IMO, of all the 3D films Disney has done (without Pixar), this is the best looking.
I think it will be better because of the story. Rapunzel is a story everyone knows, but this looks like a really cool twist on it. And funny too.

SarcasticLeaves In reply to OakEvolution [2010-09-26 18:10:11 +0000 UTC]
Thinking about it now, I have to agree. I think they had more to the characters, they just didn't get into it. Sorta like how showing Freddie saving Carly's life seemed unimportant to the story with Dan. I won't get into that. I personally would of loved to see more of Tiana's relationship with her father. I mean, obviously he played a big role in inspiring her to get her own restaurant to begin with. I think it might of been more powerful to show the farther work hard day after day til he passed away. After he passes Tiana takes over and there's where "Almost There" takes place.
I agree. I tend to prefer 2D over 3D but really that's not what makes the movie. I mean, what's the point of having outstanding 2D animation if there's not a good story to back it up? Animation is just one piece of the puzzle. I think people think Disney should stick with what they know. But if Disney stuck with what they knew we wouldn't have movies like Beauty and the Beast or Lion King. Disney just proved that they could make 3D look amazing and beautiful. I mean, it's not going to be perfect but since when was 2D animation perfect either?
I agree. I'm way more exacted about Tangled than I ever was The Princess and the Frog. I adore what I've seen of Flynn so far, he's adorable. And Rapunzel has such a beautiful design. It's very appealing in my eyes.

Oh please. Don't get me into Dan right now.
I agree again. I wanted to see more of her father. I know he died, but couldn't we have seen a few minutes more?
I think Disney thinks that 2d animation makes up for an outstanding story some of the time. Which obviously isn't true.
People always criticize Disney for 3D, yet when they partner with Pixar, somehow 3D is fine.
I know Pixar is heads above them in 3D animation, but it's not that bad.

Ha ha Yeah, I don't blame you. That's just a whole mess with me and LaneTea. Very unimpressed, we are.
Yeah. I felt like what they did at the beginning was almost too fluffy? At least if it was a little more tragic at one point we wouldn't of just accused her of being a workaholic. If that makes any sense?
Exactly. You said everything right there.

I agree.
Dan has announced that iCarly isn't a relationship show a few times. It's too late, people are in it for the shipping. If he didn't want it to become that he should of never started anything. He is causing his own demise with iCarly.
You too? LaneTea and I felt the exact same way. We also found Sam and Freddie to be rather OOC when it came to their pranking bits.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
OakEvolution In reply to SarcasticLeaves [2010-10-01 00:09:50 +0000 UTC]
I know...
He's the one that made all of these shipping related episodes in Season 2, and then just acted like they didn't matter. You don't make episodes like that and leave people hanging.
I know he's trying to act like it's not a shipping show, but let's face it-Seddie, Creddie, we ALL want something to happen.
I also noticed this in the newer episodes...
Sam and Freddie are together a LOT. Like, they enter..exit...are in a scene together.
Why is that? It used to be Carly and Sam together all the time. When did Sam and Freddie start hanging out more? lol

Also I feel that it's to the point where the series needs to start becoming a little more serious. Dan can still have his random, but not every single episode. I've gotten fans upset with me because I'm sick of all the nonsense. Some are saying stuff like "Not every episode has to have development, they can have a few fun episodes." Ummm... it's not a few fun episodes that bothered me. It's the whole season 3 of fun pointless episodes that bothered me.
I've noticed that too. I will admit, I did like the part in iGet Pranky where Sam was giving Carly a hard time for not pranking anyone and Carly was all "Freddie!" to which he replied "No, I'm with Sam on this one."

I mean, it's almost over. There's not much time left to do anything if he planned to. It's like watching a half hour of nothing. Also, the episodes a getting less funny to me. I don't even know why. It's probably because I've been busy waiting for something to happen....
I loved that. xD
But it makes me sad to think all of the good stuff in season 2 is just thrown out the door.
It's hard to be happy thinking about Seddie now. :/

I completely agree. I just honestly hope that this really is the last season, otherwise it's just going to give Dan an excuse to make more random garbage. -_-;
I really hope Dan gets back into gear with iCarly and stops this nonsense. I guarantee you that if these next handful of episodes are the same, he's going to lose people completely.
Hopefully there will be happiness once more, but I'm not counting on it.

I don't think LaneTea and I could stand another season of this. You're not alone. I feel like the only reason we're even hanging on at this point is because we made a promise. -_-; And because deep down we still have a little hope left. I mean, we're Zutarians as well... Hope takes awhile to die. XD
After watching last night's episode I must agree. Watching episodes now feels like a chore.

I'm with you. Looking back on it now I think Dan joining the fandom was probably the worst thing that happened to the show. Now he's got a massive ego and zero tolerance for constructive criticism of any sort. Right now the fanbase is starting to divide yet again. On one side we have the fans who still insist that Dan is the god of television and that he can do no wrong. On the other side we have fans who know he's not doing all he can do and are gradually starting to leave. And after this last episode, I've seen more people who are starting to come to the side of possibly leaving rather than sticking it out. And honestly I don't blame them a single bit, because I'm almost there myself. I guarantee you that if Dan doesn't do something big this season he's going to see the ratings for iCarly drop dramatically.
I know what you mean, I feel the same way. LaneTea and I were talking about how we use to rush to the television ten minutes before because we were so excited. Now we don't even watch it until a few hours after it's aired. Let's face it, it's hard to get excited when you know nothing's going to happen.

OakEvolution In reply to SarcasticLeaves [2010-10-05 12:31:55 +0000 UTC]
And what annoys me is that those "Dan is the TV god" people are so....persistent at getting mad at those of us who are sick of this nonesense.
I hate to say this, but I hope that the ratings drop low enough for Dan to see how little most fans care about these new episodes. I wasn't hopping up to see it, I guarantee you we're not the only ones.
Exactly. I don't want to get excited anymore. It seems useless to get eager about an episode that ends up right back where it left off. That's so boring.
I can tell you one thing. When I look back at all of the memorable shows I watched as a kid,one thing I won't remember is iCarly season 3...4?
See, I don't even know the season anymore.

SarcasticLeaves In reply to OakEvolution [2010-10-05 20:43:16 +0000 UTC]
Seriously, many of those people just annoy me to no end. If you say anything against Dan and/or an episode it makes you the scum of the earth. Of course Dan can do no wrong...
I completely agree. Sadly I think it's going to take losing his audience to get him back on track. I know for a fact that more and more people are starting to come to our side. It's a lot slower than I've hoped, but they're coming to see what the show has become. It's no longer the iCarly we fell in love with.
Tell me about it. People are getting mad at us for not doing videos. But why should we do videos when nothing's happening? That's only encouraging bad writing/story. We'll do videos when the episodes are worth talking about again.
I know what you mean. LaneTea and I can remember certain funny bits from season 3 but not the episode. Yet season 1-2 we can remember with ease? That tells you something. Right now they're on season 4, though I'm confused on if they're going to divide it into two seasons. The cast was saying how they just wrapped up "this season" so I'm assuming season 4 is only 13 episodes. I think the ratings have already went down if that's the case.

OakEvolution In reply to SarcasticLeaves [2010-10-05 22:39:05 +0000 UTC]
Dan isn't perfect. He's as flawed as any person. Why do you feel the need to defend someone who's ruining your once favorite show??
We've always said that Dan needs to get a major reality check. Like, losing fans and ratings major. Or else his big ego will get in the way.
I agree. I'm glad you're not doing videos on nothing. Why? You'd really be talking about...nothing.
Wow. Season 4. Isn't it supposed to end now? Like, after season 4?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
SarcasticLeaves In reply to OakEvolution [2010-10-05 23:25:43 +0000 UTC]
Exactly.
We don't see the point in doing videos about nothing.
The way Dan's filming it's 13 episodes of iCarly then 13 episodes of Victorious. At first I heard iCarly had been renewed for 26 episodes, so this is half of that. But I've heard the cast referring to it as "wrapping up this season". I don't know exactly what they mean by that. So when they come back to film this next 13 I'm not sure if they're filming the rest of season 4 or it's going to be season 5. Who knows. Either way I believe the show is coming to an end sooner or later.

I'm hoping after this next 13 are filmed that the series will just be over and done with. It's obvious Dan and even the cast aren't as into it as they once were. I was hoping to be at least somewhat excited about this season by now, but that's not happening.
I'm still holding out for iStart a Fanwar though... that's going to either make it or break it with me.
