Second of two really late KTS Races images.

These were supposed to be finished and uploaded last month but I got sidetracked working on KTS, so I've finished and uploaded them now. As such they are included in the September Patreon Rewards pack, not the October one.

Anyway here is the Zana!

The Zana are one of the subraces of Dark Elf society.

Due to a peculiar quirk of Dark Elven biology, when a Dark Elf mates with a sentient creature not of it's own race, the product of that union is still just another Dark Elf, they're are no half-breeds like in other races. However, over time if a large enough population of another race interbreeds with a community of Dark Elves, the resulting offspring can build up enough recessive traits that a new stable sub-race emerges. There are several of these known, and Zana are one of them.

The Zana are short skinny humanoids who are believed to be the offspring of pairings between Dark Elves and some forgotten underground dwelling race of Goblins. Oddly for Dark Elven society they are usually quite cheery individuals, though not very smart. Usually Zana are slaves in Dark Elf society, much like the Daema, however they are much sought after as they are incredibly skilled miners, being quite fond of shiny things and dark enclosed spaces. They can see fully in the dark and they have hardened forearms which they can use to punch through solid rock. They live much longer than normal goblins, though only have a fraction of the lifespan of a Dark Elf.
